Arts Week update for Day 5 from Year 6:
To celebrate that local artist John Constable would have been 250 this year, the whole school are taking part in Constable inspired cloudscapes across the week. Here the children will learn that skies are not just made of blue sky and white clouds and that there are other colours too.

Day 5 of Arts Week:
This morning, in Year 4 and Year 5, the children completed the ripped art and landscape collages, our other whole school art project. With this task, the children had to cover the paper with pastels and then rip the paper to create their collage. Each piece of ripped paper was blended using pastels and then the collage created.

A late update from Day 2 of Arts Week.
We had the amazing story teller, Justine, come in and work with our children in Harriers, Year 2 and Year 3. She worked with the children to create some super stories, using their imagination and oracy skills.

On Friday 12th June, some of Year 5 went to Sutton Hoo. The trip was to support their learning on the history topic about Anglo-Saxons. The children had been learning about the discovery of the Anglo-Saxon longboat and some of the finds. This helped to bring the learning in school to life. And the weather stayed nice!

Arts Week update from reception.
In reception, the children have also been doing the whole school John Constable skyscapes. As the children are so little, they produced a large skyscape, following Constable's inspiration.
