A big welcome back to all our learners after the Easter break – it’s full steam ahead and the workshop is already in full swing! 🔨
The energy, focus, and hands-on learning are great to see.

We’re also excited to introduce Chae, who will be joining us as our Construction Tutor. Chae brings fresh skills and experience to the team, and we’re really looking forward to the next chapter in our construction provision.

Spring is starting to show in our courtyard, lighter days, new growth, and plenty of birdsong. It’s become a quiet spot where learners can step away, reset, and get a bit of calm when they need it.

🥚✨ Nurture Group Cooking Fun! ✨🍞

This morning our Nurture Group got hands-on in the kitchen making poached eggs on toast and they absolutely smashed it!

From learning how to crack eggs gently to watching them cook perfectly in the water, the group showed great teamwork, patience, and confidence. And of course… the best part was enjoying their delicious creations afterwards!

So proud of their growing independence and the life skills they’re building each week.

🌈 Celebrating Neurodiversity at Our Centre 🌈

We’re proud to share our new Neurodiversity Display to celebrate Neurodiversity week, created in our Calm Room as a safe, quiet space for learners who need time to reset, refocus, or regulate.

The display highlights the strengths, talents and unique ways of thinking found within our neurodiversity community including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and more. Celebrities and famous people. Every brain works differently, and that’s something we celebrate.

Our Calm Room is designed to provide:

✨ Quiet space for de‑escalation
✨ Positive affirmations
✨ Visual supports
✨ A welcoming environment for all

We’re committed to creating a learning environment where every learner feels understood, supported, and able to thrive.

🌼 Spring is on the way at TCHC! 🌼

Our learners have been busy getting the garden ready for the new season, and they’ve done an amazing job!

From clearing the beds and planting early seeds to tidying up the outdoor space, they’ve shown teamwork, pride and brilliant enthusiasm. The garden is already looking brighter thanks to their hard work!

These practical sessions not only help develop new skills, but also support wellbeing, confidence and a real sense of achievement. We’re excited to see everything grow this spring, including our learners.

Thank you to Suffolk county council for hosting the Positive Post-16 Pathway Event. We were delighted to take part in yesterday’s event and want to extend our gratitude to Suffolk County Council for organising such a productive and energising day.

The marketplace ran smoothly, with plenty of opportunities to speak with delegates, make new connections, and showcase the support we offer.

The workshops at 11:00am and 12:00pm were a great addition,
We also really appreciated the networking session, a brilliant chance to continue conversations and build relationships with fellow stakeholders.

Thank you again to Suffolk County Council for hosting and to everyone who visited our stand. We look forward to future events and continued collaboration.

✨ First week of the New Year complete! ✨

It’s been a busy return, with a few tired eyes from our students as everyone settles back into routine but already we’ve seen some real wow moments.

This week alone, some learners have secured interview opportunities, others have taken big steps forward in confidence, and we’ve seen the start of new friendships forming.

Education will always be at the heart of what we do, but just as important are the social advances, life skills, and personal growth that help our students thrive beyond the classroom.

We’re proud of the progress already made and excited to see what the rest of the year brings!
