Winter Knitty is live!

It was -1.5* C at 6pm, so anything cosy is really appealing right now.

I love the brioche sweater, but the thought of raiding the stash and working up some elfmice over the weekend is looking good too!

What a great image!

Anja Rožen, a 13-year old elementary school student from Slovenia is the winner of the international contest Plakat MIRU. She was chosen among 600,000 children from all over the world. "My poster represents the earth that connects and unites us. People stick to each other. If one person let go, the rest will fall. We are all connected to our planet and to each other, but unfortunately we are little aware of it," said the young creator.

Do you love cables?

Knitty does!

Some beautiful patterns in this issue🧶🧶🐕

Knitty Winter 2021 is live! Featured on the cover is Smokestacks, a super-cushy garter/cable scarf that's reversible and absolutely yummy. Designed by Kate Atherley, worked in Lucky Violet Color Co Mindy in the Hidden Treasures colorway.

I got to shoot this one on location at the Cotton Factory in Hamilton, Ontario, on my friend Claudia Manley. She's one of those fun people who's up for almost anything, and looks great in knitwear.
