Our Head of Sociology was delighted to meet Professor Ann Oakley at the Sociology Network Conference last week. As one of the founding figures of feminist sociology, Professor Oakley's work is studied by sociology students around the world. Opportunities like this help us stay connected with the latest research and ideas, ensuring our students benefit from the very best teaching. A memorable day of learning, networking and bringing the latest ideas back to our students!

A group of Year 9 students were given the opportunity to learn how to sail this week between Levington and Felixstowe docks, being taught how to sail into the wind and with the wind in their sails! Some of them showed incredible resilience and courage to overcome a fear of being on the water for the first time - well done to all the students!
