We had a wonderful evening celebrating our 2026 Suffolk Salutes winners last night.

This year we not only celebrated our 6 Alumni Award winners but also our first ever Community Award winners, a brand new award introduced for our 10th Anniversary celebrations.

Connection Week is coming! 28 September – 2 October

This year, Connection Week is extra special as we celebrate our 10th Anniversary.

Across five days, we’ll be bringing together our Alumni and wider University community to celebrate connections, share experiences and look ahead to the future.

There’s something for everyone, with a fantastic mix of online and in-person events, including:

How can we overcome barriers and improve political representation?

Join us for the first in a special series of Open Lectures during our 10th Anniversary year, which will explore equality in democracy and the future of political representation.

Writer, academic and women’s rights activist Dr Helen Pankhurst CBE, the University of Suffolk’s first Chancellor, will be in conversation with Jess Asato MP for Lowestoft.

The discussion will explore experiences of political representation, including the challenges faced by women in Parliament, and what more can be done to create a more equal democracy.
