Radiotherapy and Oncology graduate, Connor Parish, presented his undergraduate research project findings at UKIO last week. UKIO is a major conference in the Radiography, Radiology and Oncology calendar, with delegates from across the UK and beyond. Connor’s project, entitled ‘The Importance of LGBTQ+ Radiotherapy Education’, was well received with a delegate stating “Connor Parish was genuinely one of my standout sessions at UKIO this year. I found it both really insightful and refreshing in how it addressed health inequalities”.
Zoe Grant, Senior Lecturer at University of Suffolk, said “It was an honour to supervise Connor’s research and I have already invited him to be a guest lecturer on a level 4 module to improve LGBTQ+ education within cancer care”.
Well done Connor!

Thanks to a generous donation from Debach, our first-year BSc (Hons) Wildlife, Ecology and Conservation Science students had the opportunity to go behind the scenes at some top London museums.
As part of the course’s Diversity of Life module, the group visited the Angela Marmont Centre at the Natural History Museum, the Linnean Society collections and the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew.
We’re grateful to Debach for their funding which plays a vital role in ensuring our students can access enriching educational experiences that have the potential to shape their studies and future careers
