It’s always great to catch up with our alumni and see what they’re up to.

Matthew graduated last year and since then has been busy developing a business that combines his passion for art, exhibitions, making, food and community. Craf-TEA House opened its doors last month in Woodbridge’s Gobbits Yard. It shows local artists’ work, and encourages creativity over a cuppa.

Deadline for applications Friday August 21st - midnight. October 5th to November 1st 2026.
The Art Station is offering 4 x month long residencies for young artists at least 2 years out of further education and under the age of 32.
This is a paid residency with the offer of a large shared studio, mentoring and support from The Art Station and a paid stipend of £1200.

It’s great to see our alumni developing new work in her residency at Asylum Studios this month. Dharma was awarded the Asylum Studios Graduate Award for her outstanding Degree Show a year ago. Since finishing her degree she has had a busy year since graduating, and is enjoying the focus and tranquility of her residency studio over the summer.

From UoS alumni Matthew Cloud!

Today was the finissage of NOVUS a project that a group of our students undertook as part of The George Community Pub in Wickham Market’s Heritage Lottery renovation project to bring this historic C15th inn back to life and full glory following a devastating fire.

Our students used salvaged charred wood to draw, sculpt, draw and print in order to make work that was then exhibited in the public and community spaces for visitors and the local community.

Thank you to the George’s amazing team and to our students for making this project so special.

Today was our final year students’ last crit before the DEGREE SHOW. We’re so proud of their work and how they challenge us to look at their work and the world from new perspectives.
