🌿☀️ What a Fantastic Day Out! 🏖️💜

On Tuesday 4th August, we took some of our wonderful ladies on a well-deserved day out, with our first stop at the beautiful Rendlesham Forest, followed by an afternoon at Aldeburgh Beach.

From exploring the forest and enjoying a picnic together to paddling in the sea, eating fish and chips, and sharing lots of laughs along the way, it was a truly special day. Creating opportunities like this to connect, make memories, and support wellbeing is what Future Female Society is all about.

Our Girls Where You At? project has been shortlisted for the Tesco Fruit & Veg Grants Programme, and from Monday 3rd August until the end of November, you can help us secure vital funding simply by doing your shopping!

What will the funding do?
If we're successful, we'll use the funding to provide fresh fruit and vegetables during our weekly Girls Where You At? sessions, helping girls learn about healthy eating, try new foods, build confidence in the kitchen, and make healthier lifestyle choices in a fun, supportive environment.

On Saturday 11th July, our amazing Girls Where You At? group hosted their very own End of Term Fundraising Party at the wonderful The Hidden Garden Cafe Ipswich —and wow, what a day it was! 💜

We couldn't be prouder of these incredible young women. They took the lead in planning, organising, and running the event, showing fantastic teamwork, confidence, leadership, and determination every step of the way. Watching them grow in confidence and take ownership of the event was truly inspiring.

And the best part... they raised an incredible £234! 🎉

This is such a fantastic achievement, and every single penny will help support future opportunities for our projects.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along, supported the event, bought refreshments, donated, and cheered the girls on. Your kindness and generosity mean so much, and you helped make the day a huge success.

Most importantly, well done girls! 👏💜 You should all be so proud of yourselves. Your hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment shone through, and you've shown exactly what can be achieved when young people are given the opportunity to lead, believe in themselves, and work together.

Have you ever wanted to try spoken word, poetry or storytelling but weren't sure where to start?

Join us for a FREE Spoken Word Workshop with the fantastic Amy Wragg from Getonthe SoapBox Events in a welcoming, supportive space where every voice matters.

Whether you're a complete beginner or have experience, this inspiring session will help you build confidence, express yourself creatively, and connect with other women in a relaxed and encouraging environment. There is no pressure to perform—just come along, give it a try, and enjoy a morning of creativity, laughter and connection.

☀️ Our July Coffee Morning at The Hidden Garden Café was blessed with beautiful sunshine, making it the perfect setting to come together, connect and get creative.

There was plenty of friendly competition as Ipswich Fit hosted their digital Whack-a-Mole challenge. It brought out everyone's competitive side, with our very own Kim claiming the highest score thanks to some very determined (and slightly savage!) tactics! 😄

We also enjoyed some wonderful creative activities. Sue guided us in making beautiful origami bags, while Suffolk Archives joined us with a collage activity inspired by their upcoming exhibition, Witches: Suffolk's Dark Legacy, launching later this year at The Hold.

It was lovely to welcome some new faces alongside many of our regular attendees, all enjoying great conversations, creativity and community in the gorgeous Hidden Garden.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and to Karen for hosting such a wonderful summer coffee morning. We can't wait to see you all again soon! 💚

WOW… what an incredible day!

Our Future Female Society Summer Fundraising Party was everything we hoped it would be and more!

Today wasn’t just about raising money – it was about giving our young women the opportunity to believe in themselves, work together, build confidence and show everyone what they are really capable of.

Our amazing Girls Where You At? group planned, organised and ran the entire event, and we honestly couldn’t be prouder. Watching them welcome visitors, organise activities and support one another was truly inspiring.

A huge thank you to our wonderful facilitators, Suzanne and Angelle, for encouraging and supporting the girls every step of the way.

A special thank you to The Hidden Garden Cafe Ipswich for kindly hosting our Summer Fundraising Party.

The day was filled with smiles, laughter and community spirit, with:
Face painting
Bracelet making
A fantastic talent show
Games, fun and lots of happy memories

The girls set themselves a fundraising target of £222. They worked so hard and, thanks to your kindness and generosity, they raised an incredible £154 today! 👏

That means we’re now just £68 away from reaching their goal.

On Tuesday, we’ll be seeing the girls for their final Girls Where You At? session before the summer holidays, and we would absolutely love to tell them they achieved the target they worked so hard for.

If just a few people donated, we could easily get there. Every single pound will make a difference and, more importantly, will show these incredible young women that their hard work, determination and passion have been recognised and supported by their community.
