My mission is to enable (peri)menopausal women to transform their lives through finding purpose, peace, fulfilment, and enjoyment. I sell transformations.
Life coach & Leadership Tree creator 🌳 Cold‑water & marathon swimmer ❄️ Drawing on rich leadership experience, I help you quiet the noise and uncover what’s within — from hidden strengths to a “hell yes” life 🌳 We are the sole architects of our life. Coaching provides the conduit for our ideas, to grow solutions and act. Through coaching we create thinking partnerships where insights occur, and tr
ansformation happens
Together we will (re)ignite your spark, release your energy and passion, and co-create the life of peace, joy, fulfilment, and flow to achieve your ambitions. Why me? I bring my energy, joy, compassion, and sense of fun and playfulness to every connection I make. I am a successful leader, teacher, and an experienced coach with almost 20 years senior and executive leadership. I believe in the transformational power of coaching.
• I have built my career around relational psychology, understanding what drives us as human beings, what brings us success and the (unconscious) blocks that can get in the way
• I’m not afraid to ask the difficult questions.
• I create a safe space to explore your internal drivers, unconscious blocks, and internal motivations, so that we can co-create the next steps and achieve your goals
I have lived experience:
• As a post-menopausal woman, I have lived experience of some of the ways we can lose focus, desire, purpose and meaning and I’ve redesigned my life to bring the joy and fulfilment I missed.
• I know how menopause affects our mindset because it affected mine and I didn’t realise how much. We crave something different, but we don’t know what.
• I’ve struggled with burn out and its effects on mental health, and the guilt of not being there for my team. I’m in recovery. My drive is to support others, so it doesn’t happen to you. Coaching is a partnership. When done well, it unlocks your potential and maximises performance, building awareness, empowering choice, and leading to transformational change. As a coach I am here to serve you and provide you with thinking space.
• You can work with me 1:1 for 6 weeks, 3 months or 6 months.
• You may have activities to engage in between sessions.
• I also offer group activities. Keep a look out for these on my LinkedIn and pages. A bit more about me
I love the outdoors; walking, hiking, swimming and (very) occasionally running. I set myself challenges and usually do one big event each year (e.g., a marathon walk/swim/run). I love volunteering and have organised parent and child groups and a local weekly run in the past. I am also a run leader, and volunteer at race events (running and swimming). I was a parent Governor for 12 years across two schools. I have two dogs and a cat, and grandchildren who make me smile. I’m a keen phone photographer and selfie taker.

Motivation follows action.
When I first heard this phrase from a former professional athlete, it really stayed with me.
We can spend a long time waiting to feel motivated. But often, if we don’t take action first, motivation never arrives.
Yet somehow we’ve learned to believe we need motivation before we begin.
I’ve been thinking about starting running again.
I haven’t properly run since my second marathon in 2022, and I’ve had plenty of reasons why not.
This morning the thought appeared again:
“I could go for a run.”
So I got up, put my running gear on, and went.
Even though it was raining.
And of course, it felt amazing.
What might change if you stopped waiting to feel motivated before taking action?

Lessons in nature 🌿
Today I attended a group gathering of coaches in the outdoors, exploring how we can utilise nature within coaching.
And it got me wondering—
If there was one lesson you could take from nature, what would it be?
Because nature doesn’t overcomplicate things.
For me, it’s this:
To live the season I’m in.
To stop fighting it.
To roll with whatever is here, rather than wishing it was different.
Simple.
Not always easy.
What about you?

Is it OK to be yourself?
Or do you find yourself changing to fit in?
One of the most powerful moments in my school came from a student who had joined us partway through Year 11. They said:
“This is the first time it’s ever felt OK to be me.”
That’s what belonging sounds like.
That’s what being seen feels like.
If we don’t get belonging right in our schools—if it’s not OK to be yourself—then we’re not creating the conditions for learning.
Because before we can learn, we have to feel safe.
And when you don’t feel like you belong, you don’t feel safe.
And when you don’t feel safe, learning simply doesn’t happen in the way it could.

Some great conversations with fellow cold water addicts - definitely a true sense of belonging.

What if the part of you you’ve hidden, reshaped, or tamed… is your superpower?
What if being wholly, unapologetically you—not fitting in—is the key to your success and wellbeing?
Would you still hide?

If you could tip all the thoughts out of your head, and only pick up those you want to keep, what thoughts would you leave behind?
How could life be different without those thoughts?

Ever feel like there is just too much to do…
and not enough time for you?
That constant sense of being “on”…
thinking about the next thing…
never quite arriving anywhere?
This was my experience as a headteacher.
From the outside, it looked full, successful, meaningful.
On the inside?
Relentless.
When I eventually left through burnout and became a coach, I made a quiet decision:
I wasn’t going to rebuild the same life… just dressed differently.
I built from balance.
Family.
Play.
Friendship.
Work that stretches and excites me.
Space to grow.
Time in nature.
Moments to just be.
A full life… without the constant pressure.
And what I saw surprised me.
To live this way, I didn’t need to add more.
I needed to let something go.
The belief that being busy means I’m doing enough.
The belief that there’s a list I have to complete.
The voice that says:
“I need to…”
“I should…”
“I must…”
Where does that show up for you?
Where are you delaying rest…
play…
time for yourself…
until everything else is done?
(When is it ever done?)
Life doesn’t have to feel like this.
Not even in a full, demanding, meaningful life.
There is a way of living that holds:
Joy.
Purpose.
Love.
Ease.
Flow.
And it doesn’t come from pushing harder.
It comes from seeing differently.
🌳 From reconnecting with that part of you that isn’t constantly striving
🌳 The part that knows how to be present
🌳 The part that doesn’t measure your worth by how much you get done
The “toddler” within you hasn’t gone anywhere.
She’s just been buried under years of expectations and beliefs.
We don’t need to juggle everything.
We were never designed to.
One thing.
One moment.
Fully lived.
That’s where life actually happens.
This isn’t about work-life balance as a trade-off.
It’s about a life lived in balance.
This is self-leadership of the highest order.
Not control.
Not more discipline.
But awareness.
Seeing the “belief goggles”…
and gently putting them down.
Opening up to a whole new way of living and leading.
This is the work we do inside The Leadership Tree.
A space to step out of the noise…
reconnect with yourself…
and lead your life from clarity, calm and truth.
If something in this is stirring for you, you’re so welcome to message me or comment “TREE” below.
We’ll just explore what’s possible for you. No pressure. 🌳

Do you ever feel that life could be lived with more ease, more joy, and less strain — and that something richer is possible?
Life feels like it’s running you…
not the other way around.
Your mind is full.
Your days are busy.
And somewhere along the way, you’ve lost the feeling that your life is actually yours.
If you’re thinking, "this sounds like me”… you’re not alone.
