Hi All,

Last chance to get your Cash for Charities tokens in if you haven’t already done so - closing date is Friday!

Thank you 😊

Hi everyone,

As you may know, Play Out is now part of a charity called Ormiston Families, which has been helping families around the Ipswich area for more than 40 years.

Ormiston Families had some good news over the weekend after the Ipswich Star named it as one of the nominees for this year's Cash for Charities campaign.

The way the campaign works is that people collect tokens in the paper and hand them into the charity. The charities with the most tokens get a bigger share of the £10,000 funding pot. The tokens will be printed in the paper until November 22.

It would be amazing if you or anyone you know who gets the Ipswich Star could keep an eye out for the tokens, snip them out and then bring them in to us.

You can also post them into us if that is easier, marked up as 'Cash for Charities'. Our address is 333 Felixstowe Road, Ipswich, IP3 9BU.

You can also help by telling people about the campaign - Ormiston Families will be posting on its page and any shares are really helpful.

The money all goes to helping run some amazing services in Suffolk that really make a difference to children and families' lives.

Thanks for your support and fingers crossed!

We all hope you have enjoyed halloween/fireworks, its a great time to make memories and wrap up warm or watch from the window!

Our Sensory Room 😊
All children in the nursery access our Sensory room though out the day we use this for calm down time.
This room is used a lot for our children with additional needs to help them regulate while at nursery and also to complete small tasks in a more calming environment.
We will be looking at hiring our Sensory room out to parents and children and also children with additional needs.
We will let you know when this comes available. 💙

Hi all,
You may know that we are part of Ormiston Families - a charity in Ipswich which supports families who are going through a range of challenges.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 15 the charity is having a 24-hour fundraising day, called the One Day Appeal, where they are aiming to raise as much money as possible. All they are asking for is donations - nobody needs to jump out of a plane or run a marathon to raise money!
If you think you might be able to donate (every penny counts) to help support their work with families, you can give here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/one-day
We'd also be really grateful if you could share this with friends and family so they can get behind the appeal and if you want to learn more about Ormiston Families's work or even take part in one of our their events, the website is https://www.ormiston.org/ and the page is https://www.facebook.com/ormistonfamilies
Thank you!

It is important to let babies have experience of mark-making. ☺️

Give them crayons, pens, pencils, paint and chalk, and let them scribble. 🖌🖍✏️

This will strengthen their hands and to help them learn how to move their fingers.🖐

Making Books 📚📖
Preschool have been making there own books today! They have been using lots of imagination when they have been designing there books. The children loved explaining to each other what their books were about and what they had drawn.
"A princess"👸
"A double decker bus"🚌
"A big princess"
"Draw purple for the book fairy to read"
"Elsas dress and Ana"
"Me!"
"A Monster"🧟‍♂️
"Bluey and that's bingo"
Some of the children even had to add more pages to there books because they had some many great ideas 😄

Preschool were exploring the hairdressing box today and they were discussing about going to the hairdresser and what happens. They then had their own client Eloise!

They washed her hair ensuring they didn't get water in her face they then used the shampoo to rub into her hair! The children loved using the jugs and pots to clean the shampoo from Eloise hair. Learning these life skills are so important and essential life skills are important for preschool children because they provide a foundation for their future development and well-being.

This week toddlers have been playing some matching games. They were playing smelliest wellies. The toddler were turn taking and waiting for their go. Taking turns is an important social skill that helps children learn to share and cooperate with others. It helps children to develop patience, empathy, and self-control, and to respect the rights and feelings of others.

The toddlers were also learning about pairs and matching the correct wellies to their pictures. They were able to point out who's wellies were who's. Sorting and matching things helps develop visual perceptual skills, thinking and memory skills. These important brain skills help with attention and problem-solving
