My two main passions in life are education and music, to which I have been fortunate to combine working as a guitar/music tutor (fully DBS checked) for the past 17 years privately, alongside 13 years teaching peripatetically in a school environment. Skills:
•Highly skilled in guitar technique (25 years’ experience) in all genres. •Additional skills in bass, ukulele, drums and vocals.
•Music tuition and coaching, physical and online, for all ages and abilities of students, including specialist tuition for those taking guitar exams through RSL up to Grade 8, in schools and in private settings.
•Mentoring to students on performance, songwriting, production and promotion.
•Extensive experience of original songwriting, recording and production solo and in collaboration.
•Publishing music onto all digital music platforms with accompanying social media campaigns to generate interest and stimulate download/streaming numbers.
•Social media content creator using video editing software (iMovie) to create long-form (YouTube), short-form (TikTok, Instagram) content, and photo editor (Adobe Spark Post) to create distinctive thumbnails.
•Honours Degree (graduated July 2022) modules included a freelance proposal for creating and marketing viable products for the music industry and original film music composition.
•Full experience of using Digital Audio Workstations (GarageBand). Achievements:
•Recording charity cover single ‘I Love You All The Time' for victims and relatives of the 2015 terror attacks at The Bataclan, Paris. The single was endorsed by the song's original writers/performers ‘Eagles of Death Metal’ and featured in their ‘Play It Forward’ charity campaign.
•Performance in high-profile venues including John Peel Arts Centre, Wolsey Theatre and Snape Maltings Concert Hall, Aldeburgh.
•Original recording ‘Wave Goodbye’ played on Radio 6 Music by DJ Tom Robinson’s Mix Tape Show.
•Recorded and released online debut single ‘Tectonic Lights’ with music project Candy Apple Sun, during the 2020 lockdown.
•20+ festival performances, sharing line-ups with Dodgy, the Bluetones, Dr Feelgood, The Stranglers and Gregg Wright (guitarist with Michael Jackson).

•Co-writer of 37 songs and 13 solo, all of which have been recorded.

•Followers on Instagram include Ash and Eagles of Death Metal.
•Collaborations with professional studio engineers such as Adrian Revell (BBC, engineer of Queen’s Live at The Hammersmith Odeon) and Spencer Horten (ex session musician - Lulu, Ronan Keating).
•Provided backing vocals to the track ‘Karate Lips’ by Electric Six, featured on their ‘Human Zoo’ album (2014).
•Original music composed to provide a soundtrack to a promotional video for EU-funded collaborative project ‘MyMedia,’ in conjunction with BT Plc.
•Voluntary stage crew, including set-up of equipment and sound engineering for local festivals including front of house and monitor mixes for charity events including Kesgrave Music Festival (providing set-up for Ed Sheeran in 2008)
*13 year’s experience as peripatetic Guitar tutor (fully DBS checked) for small group tuition, from ages 4 to 18 in school settings, supporting GCSE coursework and specific tuition for grade accomplishment.
*Mentoring and coaching on promotion, songwriting and music production.
*Organising concerts featuring primary-school aged children, including arranging and running of sound equipment. Qualifications:
•First Class Honours Degree in Music and Sound - University of West London July 2022.
