The fighting is finally over, but only because the World's Edge Fantasy Fayre popped back out of existence yesterday ⚔️🛡️

We had a fantastic time and look forward to doing it all again next time! Was cool to invite Freddy Mercury 🎙️ and Captain Jack Sparrow ⚓️ to our table too.

Last weekend we marked the 555th anniversary of the Battle of Barnet between the Houses of York and Lancaster during a civil war that would later become known as the Wars of the Roses. ⚔️🛡️

THANK YOU to everyone who made Barnet Medieval Festival such a special weekend at Lewis of London! We really appreciated the resourcefulness of our participants in dealing with the challenging weather conditions on Saturday and the understanding of the public who braved the wind and rain. Sunday proved a record day in the number of re-enactors and visitors who came together to mark the 555th anniversary of the Battle of Barnet.
There are so many people to thank, but chief among them are our Event Co-ordinator Linda Godden, our Re-enactor Co-ordinator Mike Powley, and our hosts Daniel and Fiona Lewis. We are grateful to Sarah Atkey for leading the Security and Event Solutions team and the Pulse South Coast Ltd - Training & Medical Services team for keeping us all safe. And we could not have delivered such a successful event without our brilliant volunteer team who kept going the extra mile.

The Festival team is delighted to share the poster for this year's Barnet Medieval Festival on 6th and 7th June. We are deeply grateful to Turner - Artist for the wonderful artwork which depicts Lord Hastings, a key commander of the Yorkist forces and long-term support of Edward IV.

Join us this Saturday the 2nd May or Monday 4th May for costumed tours of the castle!
Tours will be running at 11am and 2pm, and are included in admission to the castle.

A sunny and hot first event of the year! As usual, Broxbourne Council's St. George's Family Fun Day delivered. We were able to put our new squires to the test with their first public performances and now they know just how hot you get 😅⚔🛡

Guess who’s back, guess who’s back (clue: it’s not Slim Shady). First event of the season is next Saturday! We’re super-excited to be slaying that pesky dragon (again!) ⚔️🛡️

Who's coming to our annual St George's Family Fun day?! 🐲🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Activities include medieval re-enactments, traditional puppet shows, bird displays, inflatables and so much more ⚔️🦅🥳
