Ready for our sponsored obstacle course !!
We have been very busy the last few weeks. Mark making outside with chalks and painting. We talked about what animals live on land or sea. We also have enjoyed our book bags one of our favourites is the colour monster talking about feelings and trying to do different emotions with our faces such as happy, sad and angry there was plenty of different faces being made !!! . The children brought in a few books from home, we had Peter rabbit and Thomas the tank engine and we read these at circle time.
Part of our routine is lining up to go outside, self registration and spreading and pouring at snack time this helps children gain independence and follow daily routine .
We listened to the colour monster story today talking about how different colours make us feel. We enjoyed the role play area with the farm shop talking about different fruit and vegetables, our likes and dislikes and using imaginative play. On our tuff tray today our theme was space with rockets and planets there was lots of exploring and curiosity.
Happy new year

The children enjoyed getting creative today making Christmas trees using lots of sparkly sequins, glitter and paint . Today for snack we had some toast and milk and then later on we read a story all about animals, we flapped our arms and lifted our knees like a flamingo and laid on the floor and moved like a lizard !!!. We also have been learning our new Christmas songs.
The simplest of things playing with a box can create so much imagination we have had a boat, house and then an idea to turn the box into a rocket ship so we followed the children's lead and painted the box, the next step is to create windows and a door and to see where the children imagination goes next !!!. We also enjoyed singing zoom zoom zoom were going to the moon !!!
Today we explored outside talking about the leaves the different colours and feeling the different textures and of course we enjoyed a game of seeing high we could throw them !!!.
