Exciting news as we welcome Anglia to our Talbotousian family. Every year, we welcome several school trips organised by Anglia Tours. Thanks to the wonderful ladies in the office and the knowledgeable guides on the ground, the visits to Talbot House run like clockwork. Our relationship is not new in any way. Several of their guides are wardens with us and members. During the pandemic, they also backed our crowdfund. Many of the team have become friends over the years and friendship is what the House is built on. Thank you friends.

"The first stop on an Anglia itinerary in 1997 when Anglia was founded was Talbot House. In those early days the way into that soldiers’ ‘home from home’ was through the front door, just as the ‘boys’ would have entered over a hundred years ago. Talbot House has developed since then and so has Anglia but the bond between us remains as strong as ever. We are immensely proud of our friendship and are delighted to continue our support with sponsorship, with visitors and with the occasional Anglia guide as a Warden. Anglia was founded with the core purpose of delivering battlefield tours to France and Flanders.

Whilst the company has grown steadily since 1997, the ethos of the company remains unchanged from when we organised our first tour. We count it a privilege to have the opportunity to promote and advance the learning of all who travel with Anglia regardless of age, status or background. We are passionate about providing opportunity - it should fire the imagination, moving and inspiring our groups to ask and answer questions of the present by engaging with the past. If this can be done over a cup of tea at Talbot House, then so much the better!"

Final date for Christmas Truce tours to Belgium in December 2026

Just a quick reminder that if you're interested in taking your students on a Christmas Truce Tour this December, now is a great time to start planning.

Many places have already been snapped up for this year’s tour, but we still have spaces available on 3rd December for those thinking about booking for this Christmas period. Our other dates are now sold out (4th and 5th December), however another date could be added subject to demand - so do let us know if you're interested and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
