As part of last month’s Women and Girls in Sport Week 2025, the Live Life Outdoors Cycle Base and Active Schools Inverurie teamed up to secure funding from the Inverurie Youth Sports Foundation, and with the additional support of TEN Cycling Club, delivered two mornings of cycling activity to 78 S1 Girls from Inverurie Academy. The Cycle Base coaching team were delighted to see such a confident year group taking on some new experiences and challenges, and Inverurie Academy can be proud of the enthusiasm shown by them all.

TEN Cycling Club hold youth coaching sessions at Kintore on Saturday mornings and are keen to see new members joining their youth section, with details available at https://www.tencycling.co.uk/ and the attached photo ("This activity is being organised by TEN Cycling Club. NASSA Success!

Last week Inverurie Academy attended the annual NASSA (North Aberdeenshire Schools Sports Association) Athletics event, where our pupils performed brilliantly. Inverurie were winners in the S1 and S2 categories, and also took the overall title!

This caps off a fantastic year for our pupils at NASSA, with the following incredible results:

NASSA Road Relay - WINNERS 🥇
NASSA Badminton - WINNERS 🥇
NASSA Swimming - WINNERS 🥇
NASSA Athletics - WINNERS 🥇
NASSA Cross Country - S2 WINNERS 🥇

A huge well done to everyone who took part and represented Inverurie so well throughout the year 🏆

NASSA Badminton Success!

On Friday Inverurie Academy hosted the annual NASSA Badminton competition. Our pupils put in an outstanding effort, with the Junior team finishing second, and the Intermediate and Senior teams both winning! Overall Inverurie won the event with some fantastic all round performances, congratulations to everyone who took part or helped to run the event!

Transition Plus 2024

New S1's
Good luck to all the new S1's starting at the Academy today!

Last week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Active Schools Inverurie had 161 participants at the Inverurie Community Campus who took part in 15 different activities as part of Transition Plus.
Supported by Community Learning and Development, Kooth, local club coaches (Inverurie Badminton Club, Garioch Judo Club, Inverurie Cricket Club, All Active Ltd, Live Life Outdoors Aberdeenshire, Hip-Hop School Scotland - Public, -basketball-academy), school staff and Senior pupils who all gave up their time to deliver sessions to the participants.

Big thanks to Inverurie Youth Sports Foundation who provided funding this year to allow us to offer this FREE to all participants
