Today we are celebrating two years of Elle's ELC!! 🤎

On the 27th of August 2024 we opened our doors for the first time to welcome our first families. We started with a completely empty building that has now turned into a home from home setting we are all so proud of.

We are incredibly grateful to our team for being a big part of our amazing journey so far - your dedication and hard work is the reason Elle's ELC is such a welcoming, homely and nurturing setting 🐛🦋

We are also really grateful to our families past and present for putting your trust into us as a new setting, as parents we know how difficult it is choosing the right childcare provider, none of this would be possible without your trust and support 🤎

We are pleased to share we have partnered up with Live Life Aberdeenshire outdoor cycle base again to provide a cycle program throughout term 1 (2026-2027) 🚲

This opportunity is designed to support children to develop balance, coordination, confidence and awareness of safety while enjoying active play - it also links with our current termly focus 'Travel' 🦋🤎

If your child is part of one of the term 1 groups you will receive an email. We are very proud to be able to provide this opportunity to 24 of our 2-5 children!! If your child is not involved this time please don't worry as we are hoping to offer future opportunities.

The term 1 cycle group Coordinators are Kacy, Sophie and Shauna ⭐

We are delighted to share the Employee of the month for (August) is Sophie 🐛🦋

Some of the lovely reasons our families voted for Sophie include:

Welcome back to Elle's ELC (Term 1 2026-2027) 🐛🦋

We hope everyone had a lovely Summer holiday, we are looking forward to welcoming you all back with lots of exciting experiences and opportunities planned for term 1 including:

🚲Learn to cycle (2-5s): we have partnered up with live life Aberdeenshire again to provide learn to cycle classes.

🎶Moo music (0-2's & 2-5's): Catherine will be continuing her Moo music classes with Maggie Moo.

📚Book bug (0-2s and 2-5s): We will be continuing with our regular book bug sessions at Inverurie library.

🌳Community outings (0-2s & 2-5s): We will be continuing with our regular community outings to:
🌼Ury Riverside Park (including our regular litter picks)
🌼Kellands Park
🌼Inverurie Library
🌼 Inverurie Garden Centre
🌼Local shops
🌼Pets at Home
🌼Community walks
🌼Local care home (Intergenerational sessions)
🌼Local experiences relating to our focus of the term

🧸Wellbeing Winnie (0-2s & 2-5s): Winnie is looking forward to spending time at home with some of the children throughout term 1.

👩🏻‍🍳Cooking & Baking (0-2s & 2-5s): We continue to plan regular cooking and baking opportunities (including regular soup making for high tea).

🪥Child Smile (2-5s): Mags from Child Smile will be back to visit us in term 1 - we will contining our regular toothbrushing opportunities at nursery, giving the children the opportunity to learn how to brush their teeth and maintain a healthy smile.

🤎Keyworker one to ones (0-2s & 2-5's): We have planned another opportunity for families to attend a keyworker one to one meeting (keep an eye out for the sign up sheets).

🎨Stay and play sessions (0-2s & 2-5s): We are planning different opportunities for stay and play sessions throughout term 1 (keep an eye out for the sign up sheets).

🍴New menu/menu review: Thank you for your feedback and suggestions, we are currently reviewing all your amazing ideas and aim to implement our new menus for 2026-2027: Week beginning the 24th of August (the new menus will be shared on learning journals and in the Foyer area).
