| Interior Design Service - Now Available |

akla are delighted to announce a new Interior Design Service to the practice. Recently celebrating her 3 years at ak|a, Lisa Buchanan now leads our Interior Design service. With an extensive background in the world of interiors and a career spanning multiple aspects of design - from working as an Interior Designer for a local home furnisher specialising in curtains and blinds to delivering full-scale interior design projects tailored to clients’ briefs.

Her breadth of experience gives Lisa a practical, creative approach to every project she undertakes. Passionate about great design, Lisa has a natural talent for creating warm, welcoming spaces that are both beautiful and functional. Her enthusiasm, eye for detail, and genuine love of interior. are evident from the moment you meet her.

| Planning Approval |

Rendered visual, hand sketched site analysis, elevations and site layout of our recently planning approved new dwellinghouse commission, which joins a small cluster development previously designed by ak|a and delievered by our sister company Annie Kenyon Developments.

This addition shares a mutual material palette to the dwellings below, with enhanced bio-diversity features with an extensive wildflower blanket green roof.

Consideration was taken to the positioning of the dwelling relative to the existing topography. Taking advantage of the banked, tiered site, this hides the form from the neighbouring plots below, whilst also capturing long aspects above their ridges and out towards the valley and village below.

| Drumoak Extension Completion |

Delighted to see drone footage capturing brilliant images of our soon to be complete extension and renovation project in Drumoak.

| Golf Course Views |

Last week, we were onsite undertaking Contract Administration duties and could not resist some pictures of this spectacular view.

The glazing has recently been installed, opening up the back of the house to celebrate panoramic views across the golf course, out towards sea and Slains Castle in the distance.

Garden works are also underway, with the formation of a new fire pit, built with locally sourced stone to allow our clients to enjoy their new outdoor space, whilst being sheltered from the prevailing winds.

Beautiful site, beautiful views, great progress and happy clients.
