It’s been a really busy few months with a mix of leadership, system implementation and coaching projects as well as recording a podcast. Maybe I need to get AI to add in me juggling! 🤹☺️

I’ll be popping up a bit more again with self-coaching & leadership insights and guidance once things settle in the next month or so.

Until then..I’m going to add ‘manifesting sunshine’ to my list - we’ve been in the darkness and rain in the NE this year so far 🙈☀️ ☀️

I have made some seriously big changes to my life in the last decade - I can tell you with certainty that it’s never too late to change something in your life that makes you feel unhappy. It may be scary, and you’ll question it, as well as make excuses not to do it…

BUT pushing yourself outside that comfort zone (even when it’s an unhappy one), is achievable.

You deserve better - a better partner, a better job, a happier relationship with a colleague or family member; any (or all of those), bring about a happier YOU.

I wrote this book, and published it 2 years ago; and the content remains as pertinent and valuable as it did in 2023.

Dare yourself to be happier and more content - this book will help you get the motivation as well as provide the tools for success.

Or maybe you know someone else who’d benefit from it - and it’s not too late to get it before Christmas from Amazon.

For any further support, I do offer coaching in unsociable hours; so if I can help, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Life is tough - it can throw some right crappy things our way, but there is a lot we can control and a lot we can enable our own happiness.

You just need to want it enough - and you can achieve anything.

❤️

Do you have a young daughter (aged between 9 and 17) that plays football?

I’m doing some research about young female footballers to provide mindset & confidence coaching and would love to have insights into the barriers that girls face when playing the game competitively to help me make it meaningful.

Determining what would have helped their mindset & confidence and therefore, performance in a time of difficulty so I can generate the tools for them to to control it going forward.

If this is this something your daughter would be happy to assist with please have her scan the QR code below for a quick Microsoft Forms quiz - it’s completely anonymous, and very short; would take less than 2 mins

Please share 🙂❤️

I was not successful at school - I left at the end of 6th year with two C grade Highers that meant I was not going to uni, where every single one of my friends were headed. My “smart, intelligent” friends that got straight A’s, not only in Highers but Advanced Highers. I was in a private school, it was an expectation that uni was on your immediate path.

Well it wasn’t on mine; I went straight into the working world firstly as a full time barmaid & waitress for about 6 months then as an Office Junior; making teas and coffees for everyone, photocopying and filing. It was minimum wage (£85 a week for 40 hrs), I could barely afford my weekly train journey in and out every day (this was also way before hybrid working options!). I’m not going to lie, I didn’t last too long (less than a year) as the very long days for very little pay and daily train tickets meant I needed a bar job at night, and that caused me to burn out - it wasn’t sustainable. But I had created a path, and I’d gained some office experience to build on. I had a few admin roles, and got exposed to HR. I then enrolled myself on to a basic HR course at college 2 evenings a week in my mid 20’s when my eldest daughter was 1 year old and from there I climbed the ladder in the HR world. I got my degree at 33, and my coaching qualification at 41. I’m now a Director. Not by playing a good memory game, being a whizz at exams and getting Highers when I was 17 - by realising that I was responsible for my success. Proving that ‘smart’ isn’t just grades. It’s passion, hard work and pure determination.

Those school friends that got straight A’s? Yes some have done well but there are also some that hold multiple degrees and never found a job they love or feel passionate about.

You are your own success driver - not by comparing yourself to those around you, not by a letter on a sheet of paper. Have faith in your potential and push yourself through difficult times. If you haven’t received the grades you wanted or needed, check your options; there’s always a way to reach your goals, if you’re determined and brave enough to not let barriers hold you back.

There honestly is , only YOUR path.

Self-doubt doesn’t mean you’re not capable, it means you’re on the edge of growth.

Right now, you might be questioning yourself.
💭 “Am I really cut out for this?”
💭 “Can I actually make the changes I want?”
💭 “What if I’m not strong enough?”

Let me be clear:
You’re not stuck because you’re weak.
You’re stuck because you’re standing at the edge of your comfort zone.

And growth doesn’t live there.

That voice saying you’re not ready is just fear, not fact.

You don’t need all the answers.
You don’t need perfect confidence.
You just need one step. One moment of courage. One reason to keep going.

That’s where real change begins.

Inside coaching, we turn self-doubt into fuel.
Step by step, we build confidence, momentum, and aligned action that actually feels good.

✨ If you’re ready to stop letting fear drive the decisions and start trusting your strength…

DM me READY and let’s build your next chapter, together.
