๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ INTER-REGIONAL CHALLENGE CUP 2026 ๐
Where to even begin...
On Saturday we had 3 of our very own competing at the same time... talk about stress!
First up on Saturday was Glenn. Glenn last year had an injury with his knee and was unsure on when he would be able to return to trampolining. However, despite the injury, he kept working hard at home and was able to return to the IRCC in Birmingham for a 2nd year in a row! He had a lot to live up to as he won the Bronze medal last year and wanted to achieve an even better result, And that he just did! Glenn was able to absolutely smash it out the park and come away with a GOLD MEDAL! ๐ฅ. Glenn won his group by 1.5 points ahead of 2nd place and achieved a new overall PB by almost 3 marks! Congratulations Glenn!
Next up was Aria, This is her 2nd time down in Birmingham but this year she moved up a level and age-group. After a very impressive Set routine she debuted a new Vol. Things went a little shaky after skill 7 however she managed to substitute a skill and was able to finish the routine and is able to claim a new difficulty PB! Aria ended up finishing an amazing 16th place among the best in Britain!
And last, but certainly not least up was Sophia, It is her first time representing Scotland and her first time here competing at the IRCC in Birmingham and despite the pressure she delivered 2 solid routines! Coming away with a very respectable 20th place in the UK for her age and level!
Next up was our Sunday duo Ellie and Caitlin, and they didn't disappoint!
First up was Ellie, Who like Glenn, is also returning from an injury with her back. Until the start of the year we weren't even sure she would be able to compete this season, but Ellie being unbelievably determined and dedicated qualified to the IRCC for a FOURTH year in a row!!! Ellie had a beautiful Set routine setting a new PB for her Time of Flight! Unfortunately in the 2nd routine, despite an incredible start to the routine, her 3/4 front barani ballout went a bit wonky and unfortunately ended up putting her hands on the end mat recieving a 1.0 landing deduction from all judges, and yet, she still managed to come an incredible 12th place in Britain ๐ฌ๐ง
Last up for team ATA was none other than Caitlin. Like Glenn, Caitlin got bronze last year at this event and was determined to outdo her result from last year, and that she did. Caitlin managed to walk away from this competition with not only multiple PBs but also a GOLD MEDAL ๐ฅ!!!! Caitlin is proof that hard work, determination and dedication pays off. Caitlin was able to win her group by half a mark! having one of the highest Time of Flights of the weekend!
We are so unbelievably proud of each and every single one of our incredible trampolinists and we cannot wait to see what the rest of this season brings you. Well done ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ
