Very proud of creating another Practice Exam Paper for my Higher Applications of Maths pupils.

And really happy that I was able to use my Dutch roots in one of the questions and that I could use the names of my two Dutch cousins Annemiek and Maaike Onstein. Hi Maaike and Annemiek as far as I know you have never worked on a tulip farm, but it was lovely to be able to use both your names 😘, a nice variation to all the Scottish names I have been using sofar 😀.

Thank you Tricia Barnett (one of my friendly maths tutor collegues) for sharing this ... you are so right this lady shares the importance of numeracy in general and statistics specifically so much more eloquently than we have been able to ... she is so right! If you want to change things in this world ... get a grip on the numbers!

A lot of hard work went into creating my Higher Applications of Maths Questions and Answers Generator spreadsheet!
But I am sure my 2023/2024 Higher Application of Maths pupils will highly benefit from being able to practice and revise with the Questions and Answers that it can generate in seconds .... 😀

The end sprint ... 10 pupils today between 9am and 9pm ... We can do this together! Ready for tomorrow: Nat5 Maths and Higher Applications of Maths Exams!
The only one who is missing out a bit is Rosso, as he will only get a very short walk today ...... luckily he had a great day running around Loch An Eilein near Aviemore for most of the day yesterday ....so he will be sleeping most of today.

Double 1st experience.... Using my new squared whiteboard! And teaching a Higher Applications of pupil the fact that the area under a time vs speed graph is distance travelled!

I can't believe a year went by already, again results day yesterday ... I am so proud of all my 16 pupils who sat their exams this year (SQA or access exam from Aberdeen University) and all of them got the result they were hoping for or higher .... Huge congratulations to all of you!

Very happy with how effective my zoom sessions are with my pupils. The combination of zoom with a whiteboard behind me and What's App to share images of exercises and and solutions, works very well indeed! 👍

Feeling quite proud that so many of my pupils have gained so much confidence so quickly. Some of them don't need to see me on weekly basis anymore once a fortnight or month is enough ...

Really happy with my new business cards. The only thing is that I've put my web address on them already, but although I've bought the domain name, the page is still completely empty! 🙈
That will give me an incentive to use the coming winter months to start building the actual website!
