​We are incredibly honored to announce that Sensei Ted Clare will be hosting a special guest seminar right here at Kahen-sei Martial Arts Academy!

​If you want to bridge the gap between traditional forms and functional, high-percentage self-defense, this is a landmark event you cannot afford to miss. Sensei Ted will be breaking down the raw, practical reality behind traditional Jujutsu and Karate, stripping away the theory to focus entirely on real-world application.

​The "Why" Behind the Form: Unlocking the hidden, practical combat applications (Bunkai) embedded within traditional Karate.

​Jujutsu for the Street: Adapting classic Jujutsu compliance techniques, throws, and joint locks for modern, chaotic self-defense scenarios.

​Tactical Positioning: How to control distance, unbalance an attacker instantly, and finish a confrontation safely.

Self-Defence is a complicated subject.

Most martial arts classes only focus their lessons around the physical side and combat.

We feel this is wrong.

Students need to learn more that just techniques.

Self-Defence instructors should cover:

- situational awareness,
- conflict management,
- the law
- post incident responsibilities.

With that in mind, we are running a course in conflict management.

Our Level 2 Conflict Management course equips learners with real-world skills to manage challenging situations with confidence.
