The public engagement team and researchers from Edinburgh, Aberdeen and even Exeter came along to help out! The weekend involved engaging about stem cells (including the sporty ones- which were put to use). Sunday was 'run day', with some doing the 5k and others 10k, one brave researcher managed to do the marathon with a great time of 3.26hrs!

Intern/PhD student Vanessa De Mello and Artist in residence Hamer Dodds took a trip up to Fort William! They combined different types of science communication to get the stem cell message moving.

Not long now until the Baxter's festival of running. One of our researchers is even running the marathon! Come swing by this weekend (27th & 28th Inverness) to support him and get involved in the sporty science fun!

Here is the Hope Beyond Hype team at the Wickerman Festival 2014 brushing up on their face-painting skills. We had 1500 visitors over two days as well as our fair share of sunshine! Thanks to all the researchers for their great efforts in making this a successful weekend!
