Studying the Contemporary Art Practices degree at UHI Inverness has opened up great opportunities for two students who exhibited their work at professional galleries.
Molly MacGregor was given the opportunity to exhibit her painting A Mother's Embrace in the Broadworks Gallery in Central London. The exhibition mainly displayed selected artworks throughout the country that drew inspiration from Frida Kahlo.
Shannon Discombe was one of four Scottish artists out of 148 whose work was displayed at the Royal Cambrian Academy Open Annual Exhibition in Conwy, Wales. Her monoprint piece Scaredy Cat was one of the first to sell before the opening of the show.

A huge congratulations to our eleven NPA Construction Operations students who graduated from the CECA Scotland Academy today and met with potential employers.
They all received certificates at a special ceremony at our Balloch campus to mark the end of an 18-week course that is a route into the industry. The students then met civil engineering employers as part of a recruitment process that guarantees them all interviews.
Past students have connected with future bosses at these events, and we wish this latest cohort the very best as they move onto employment or further study.
Well done too to one student who didn’t attend the event today because he has already secured employment and will be training with us as an electrical modern apprentice.
There’s still time to apply to join the CECA course at UHI Inverness after the summer. To find out more visit: https://www.inverness.uhi.ac.uk/courses/scqf-level-5-ceca-scotland-academy-npa-construction-operations/
