Weโ€™ve had such a busy and fun-filled week, with lots of opportunities for our little ones to learn, explore and get creative! ๐Ÿฅฐ

๐ŸŽจ Weโ€™ve enjoyed lots of painting and creating
๐Ÿง Weโ€™ve had fun baking some tasty treats
๐Ÿ–๏ธ Weโ€™ve got creative making our very own playdough
๐ŸŒณ Weโ€™ve enjoyed plenty of outdoor play and fresh air
๐ŸซŸ And, of course, lots of messy play!

It has been lovely watching the children get stuck in, use their imaginations and have lots of fun along the way! โœจ

๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ› Little Adventures, Big Learning! ๐Ÿ›’๐ŸŒฟ

Our children have been enjoying lots of exciting adventures right here in our local community! From trips to the park and visits to the shop, to exploring our woodland areas and taking walks around the village, every outing brings new opportunities to learn, explore and grow. ๐Ÿ’š

At the park, we develop our physical skills through running, climbing, balancing and exploring, while also learning about taking turns, sharing and keeping ourselves safe.๐Ÿ›

A trip to the shop helps children develop confidence and independence, practise communication and social skills, and begin to understand money, shopping and the important people and places within our community. ๐Ÿ›’

Our woodland adventures encourage curiosity and a love of nature. The children can spot plants, trees, insects and birds, listen to the sounds around them and discover how the natural world changes with the seasons. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿฆ

And our walks around the village help children learn about their local area, road safety, crossing safely, recognising familiar places and becoming confident members of their community. ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ

And something very exciting is coming soon! ๐Ÿ‘€โœจ

Weโ€™ll soon be able to take our adventures even further afield, opening up a whole new world of places to explore, things to discover and experiences to enjoy together! ๐ŸŒ๐ŸšŒ

Over the past couple of weeks, our little learners have been busy exploring, creating and having so much fun! ๐ŸŒŸ

We've enjoyed a fantastic variety of creative activities, including painting, drawing, sticking and gluing, rolling, animal printing, and using pipettes to develop our fine motor skills. ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ

Outdoor play has been full of laughter too! The children have loved playing in the sandpit, throwing frisbees, having fun with Twister, zooming down the slide, and using their imaginations to transform Theresa into a beautiful mermaid with a spectacular sand tail! ๐Ÿงœโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

Our sensory play has been a big hit, from exploring chia seed "frog spawn" to delicious-looking ice cream sensory trays, giving the children lots of opportunities to investigate different textures and materials. ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿฆ

Imaginative play has been in full swing with our camping adventures! The children set up tents, gathered around pretend campfires to "toast" marshmallows, and finished the day snuggled up listening to stories under our sensory lights, which transformed the room into a magical starry night. โ›บ๐Ÿ”ฅโœจ

Every day is filled with curiosity, creativity, laughter and learning, and we're so proud of everything the children have been exploring together. We can't wait to see what adventures the next few weeks bring! ๐Ÿ’š

Tomorrow is Ingleton Gala, we would love to see many of our Kidz Families there with us joining the walking parade!

We will be meeting at Ingleton primary school for 11am and donโ€™t forgot your best safari/jungle fancy dress, that includes parents/carers too! ๐Ÿฆ ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿฆœ

Itโ€™s looking like itโ€™s going to be warm again so donโ€™t forget to keep cool and bring a drink with yourselves!

๐Ÿ“š Last week's theme was Books!๐Ÿ“–

We enjoyed a wide range of activities based around different stories and characters. We created a variety of sensory tuff trays that encouraged the children to explore through their senses and use their imagination. ๐ŸŒˆโœจ

โ›บ One of our favourite activities was transforming the tent into Mr Percy's Park Keeper's Shed. The children loved sitting on the camping chairs and pretending to be in the story. ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿƒ

๐Ÿš€ After reading Whatever Next!, we had lots of fun making our own spaceship and going on an imaginative space adventure together. ๐ŸŒ™โญ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿš€

๐Ÿป We also enjoyed making marmalade sandwiches after discovering that they are Paddington Bear's favourite snack. ๐Ÿฅช๐ŸŠ

๐Ÿ”– To finish our week, the children made their own colourful bookmarks, which they can use when reading their favourite books. ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŽจ

Today at Nursery, we got into the football spirit ahead of England's game tonight!

The children enjoyed exploring a variety of football-themed tuff trays. One featured red and white rice to represent the England flag, alongside footballs, while another used green oats to create a football pitch complete with England squad figures.

Outside, the children had great fun practising their football skills by kicking balls, scoring goals and cheering each other on. Indoors, we danced and sang along to football chants and favourite football songs, creating a lively and exciting atmosphere.

To finish our football-themed day, the children explored football-themed cloud dough mats and enjoyed World Cup colouring activities.

We have had a fantastic day celebrating football together and wish England the very best of luck in tonight's match.

Tomorrow is Pyjamarama Day!

All children are welcome to come to school wearing their pyjamas and bring along their favourite book to share.

Throughout the day, we will be exploring different stories, designing our own pyjamas, and enjoying some warm milk with homemade biscuits.

Barnardoโ€™s Safari Big Toddle! ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฆ’

Our one-day Safari Big Toddle turned into a whole week of fun due to the weather โ€” and the children absolutely loved it!

They enjoyed exploring our sensory tuff tray, playdough activities, and creating their own paper plate animals using paint and shredded paper. We also went on a safari adventure around the room with binoculars, moving like different animals, and had a fantastic safari disco followed by relaxing yoga.

The children took part in animal shadow matching, colouring, and enjoyed stories and songs all about safari animals. They also loved dressing up, face painting, and sharing their favourite animals with friends.

As part of our fundraising, the children helped bake tasty treats which were then sold to families โ€” a great way to support Barnardoโ€™s while learning about teamwork and sharing.

It was a wonderful week full of creativity, movement, and fun. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make our Safari Big Toddle such a success! ๐Ÿฆ๐ŸŒฟ
