Good morning everyone.

I can hardly believe we have reached this day. Today is my final day at Barley Fields.

As I begin this last day, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone for your kindness, friendship and dedication, and for making Barley Fields such a special place to work. It has been a true privilege to work alongside such an amazing team and with such wonderful children and families.

I am hoping to get through the day without too many tears, although I can’t promise anything! Please forgive me in advance if I become a little emotional.

Whatever today brings, I want you all to know how much I have valued working with you and your children. The children are incredibly fortunate to have such talented, caring and committed people around them every day and I know our school will continue to go from strength to strength.

I want to say a very special thank you to my husband Steve and my two wonderful boys, Ben and Elliot, for their love, patience and support throughout my time at Barley Fields.

This week has been deeply emotional and I have been overwhelmed by the kindness shown to me. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to send me messages, good wishes, cards and gifts. Your words have meant so much and have reminded me how fortunate I have been throughout my career.

Here’s to one last day together. Thank you for making my time here so special. It has meant more to me than you will ever know.

Yesterday, our Year 6 children had a visit from the ice cream van. A huge thanks to Source Supply for our treats. 🍦 ☀️

Year 6 had an amazing night at their Leavers' Party last night. There was lots of singing, dancing and pizza! The children even managed to get Mrs Taylor up on stage to sing and dance with them!

We hope they all had a great time and we are looking forward to celebrating them over the next two days!

💦☀️ Year 6 Fun in the Sun! ☀️💦

There were numerous squeals of laughter, countless smiles and plenty of splashes as our Year 6 children enjoyed their annual Fun in the Sun water fight!

It was a fantastic way to celebrate the end of their time at Barley Fields, creating memories that we hope they’ll treasure for years to come. Thank you to all the staff who joined in and made it such a fun afternoon – although some definitely got wetter than others! 🌊😄
