The last few weeks of summer can feel like a whirlwind — and before you know it, September is knocking at the door. Over the last 20 years in education, I've seen how the right kind of preparation doesn't just build knowledge, it builds confidence. That's what these sessions are really about.
I'm running two small group workshops this August, and they're nothing like the revision classes you might be imagining. Every session is hands-on, creative, and tailored to the children in the room. I draw on what interests them, make the work feel achievable, and by the end, they're not dreading the next step — they're genuinely ready for it.
Entrance Exam Prep runs Monday 24th to Friday 28th August, covering Non-Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Maths, English, and Creative Writing. Get Ready for Year 6/7 follows from Monday 31st August to Thursday 3rd September, with sessions in Year 6 Maths, Year 6 English, Year 7 Maths, and Year 7 English.
All sessions run 10am–12pm in small groups, so every child gets proper attention and support throughout. £60 per session.
As the 2025 Primary Tutor of the Year, my goal is simple — children leaving these sessions feeling capable, curious, and ready to go back to school with their heads held high.
