As our Year 6 pupils prepare to spread their wings and begin an exciting new chapter, we would like to wish each and every one of them the very best of luck. 🍎✨
Over the years, they have achieved so much at The Canon Peter Hall CE Primary School. From developing their reading, writing and maths skills to shining in sports, musical performances, residential visits and leadership opportunities, they have embraced every challenge with determination, kindness and enthusiasm. 🌟

🎉 Celebrating our fantastic Year 6 SATs success! 🎉
We are absolutely delighted to share that our Year 6 pupils have exceeded national expectations in every area this year — an incredible achievement! 🌟
📊 Our results:
📖 Reading: 80% (National 75%)
✍️ Writing: 83% (National 73%)
🔤 Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling: 90% (National 74%)
➗ Maths: 87% (National 75%)
✅ Reading, Writing & Maths Combined: 77% (National 63%)

We are so proud of every single one of our pupils. They have shown determination, resilience and a fantastic work ethic throughout the year — they should all feel बेहद proud of what they have achieved 👏

While SATs are an important milestone, they only tell part of the story. These results don’t capture the kindness, creativity, humour, teamwork, resilience and determination that make each child unique 💛
We know our Year 6 pupils are so much more than a set of test results, and we hope they take great pride in everything they have become during their time with us.
🌈 We wish them every happiness and success as they begin the next chapter in their learning journey.

What a fantastic experience for our Year 5 children at Wilderspin School! 🏫✨

During their visit, pupils stepped back in time and spent part of the day living as Victorian school children in a traditional schoolroom. From strict rules to very different learning styles, it was a real eye-opener and certainly made them appreciate their own school experience! 📚🖋️

The rest of the day was spent exploring a range of fascinating historical sources, helping the children to deepen their understanding of life in the Victorian era. Their curiosity, enthusiasm and thoughtful questions made us incredibly proud! 🔍🕰️

🎶✨ What a fantastic celebration of music we had at our Music Showcase last week! ✨🎶

Our pupils truly shone as they shared their learning and talents:
🎤 Year 2 delighted us with songs from the North East Lincolnshire Singing Festival
🎼 Year 3 impressed with a beautifully calming Japanese piece they have been learning in their music lessons
🥁 Year 5 brought energy and rhythm with their lively Samba performance
🎵 And, of course, our wonderful choir treated us to a selection of show-stopping numbers!

As the North East Lincolnshire Lead School for Music, we are incredibly proud to place music and the creative arts at the heart of our curriculum. We are passionate about offering a rich and balanced education—ensuring our pupils excel not only in SATs, but also in creativity, confidence and performance. 🎓✨

We have been delighted to open our memorial garden this week in honour of Mr Caulfield 🌿📚
The paving, reading shed, planters and plants have all been made possible through the generous support and fundraising of our school community. Reading was one of Mr Caulfield’s favourite pastimes, and it feels especially meaningful to celebrate his life with an outdoor space where children can enjoy books and quiet reflection.
It has been wonderful to see how much the children have loved using the garden already, taking great pride in caring for this special area 💚
