As another school year comes to an end, we’d like to say a huge thank you to Tim Gibson as he steps down from his role as Chair of Governors.

Tim has given his time, commitment and support to Neroche Primary School over many years, helping to guide and strengthen our school community. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has done and wish him all the very best for the future.

At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Siobhan Flanary as our new Chair of Governors from September. We look forward to working with Siobhan as we continue to build on the successes of our wonderful school.

What a fantastic way to end the school year! ☀️⚾

This afternoon saw our annual Staff vs Pupils Rounders Match, and what a brilliant afternoon it was! There was plenty of laughter, great sportsmanship, some impressive catches and, of course, lots of cheering from the sidelines.

A huge well done to everyone who took part and to all our wonderful supporters. It’s always a highlight of the year and a lovely way to celebrate together before the summer holidays.

Ash and Elm classes had a wonderful day at Carymoor Environmental Trust learning all about minibeasts!

We explored the beautiful meadows and woodlands, created our own clay minibeasts, and enjoyed pond dipping to discover the fascinating creatures that live in the water.

One of the highlights of the day was a very special woodland encounter, where we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a mother mouse with her babies nestled safely among the undergrowth.

We had a fantastic day full of exploration, discovery, and hands-on learning. As you can see from these little faces, the children had the best day!😀

What a fantastic effort from our amazing Year 6 children! 👏💚
After school today, they ran their own fundraising stalls and, thanks to the incredible support of our school community, they raised just over £80! Thank you to everyone who came along, made purchases, and helped support their efforts.

A very special mention goes to Frankie, who spent her own time making beautiful bracelets and keyrings using her own materials to raise money for the school. What a thoughtful, generous, and entrepreneurial effort—well done, Frankie! ⭐

It’s hard to believe our wonderful Year 6 pupils now have just one week of primary school left. We couldn’t be prouder of the kindness, creativity, and teamwork they’ve shown. Here’s to making their final week extra special! 💚

🌟 A huge thank you to all of our amazing staff and parents who gave up their time to work as marshals at Glastonbury Festival 2025.

Thanks to the funds raised, our KS1 children are enjoying fantastic new playground equipment, including the delivery of our wonderful new outdoor reading hut today! 📚🌿

A special thank you to the amazing Ms Beer, who has worked at Glastonbury for decades and kindly organises this opportunity for our school each year. We are incredibly lucky to have her support and are so grateful to everyone who volunteered to help make this possible. ❤️

☀️ Important Hot Weather ☀️

Dear Parents and Carers,

With the current spell of extremely hot weather, children are welcome to wear their PE kit to school for the remainder of this term to help them stay cool and comfortable if they would like to.

Please can we also remind you to ensure your child brings:
🧴 Sun cream applied before school (and a named bottle if they are able to reapply independently)
🧢 A sun hat
💧 A named water bottle filled with water each day

We will continue to take measures in school to keep children safe and comfortable during the heat.
