We understand people are sad that the pool is closing soon but please respect the privacy of the people who have hired the pool.

Please don't enter the pool if you have not booked it even if the door is open. If you have taken photos at the pool of people you don't know please delete them.

Somerset County Council has informed us that the Pool will have to permanently close on 22nd July 2026, rather than the originally planned date of the 31st August 2026.

As a PTA we have appealed this decision but it has been made clear that it cannot be changed. The full council statement with reason for closure is published on the pool website.

Additional after school swimming slots are now available on the website if you want a last swim www.herneviewpool.co.uk

We would like to thank you for all your support over the years, this has been an amazing community resource that has only been able to run due to the continued support of its volunteers, PTA, members and wider school community.

Thank you for all the support you give us, the funds from bookings allowed us to get the problem fixed in less than a week. Only 2 months left until we lose this amazing community resource so make the most of it while you can 🌊☀️
