Year 6 have been busy getting creative with their textiles project! 🧵✨

They’re designing and making their very own cushions, carefully appliquéing their designs onto the fabric. Next up, they’ll be sewing the seams nice and securely before adding the stuffing to bring their creations to life!

Westville didn’t let the weather dampen spirits as we hosted our cricket match with Lady Barn House School in the sports hall! 🏏 Both teams played brilliantly, showing fantastic skill, teamwork, and plenty of smiles along the way.

It was a real pleasure to welcome Ladybarn on their sports tour – a soggy but super fun match enjoyed by all! ☔️ 👏

🍨 Our Junior Leadership Team enjoyed a well-deserved trip to Billy Bob’s this week as a thank you for all of their hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout the year 🍦

The children have worked tirelessly to represent their classmates, share ideas, and help make positive changes across our school community. Their voices have played an important role in shaping decisions, improving experiences, and ensuring that every child feels heard and valued.
To celebrate their achievements, the team enjoyed a fantastic afternoon filled with lots of laughter, delicious food, and some absolutely HUGE ice creams! It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise everything they have accomplished and spend time together reflecting on a successful year 👏

We set the children an exciting challenge: build a natural, low-level trench big enough for their whole team! 🛠️🌿

They worked brilliantly together in their groups, showing fantastic teamwork, creativity, and determination. We were so impressed with what they achieved by the end—some seriously impressive trenches! 👏

To celebrate their hard work, we treated them to a well-earned jaffa-mallow (toasted marshmallows + a Jaffa cake 🍊🔥), which went down an absolute treat. Safe to say… they loved every bite!
