A little Easter challenge for you.... 🐰

Why not create your own?!

It’s been a tricky couple of weeks adjusting to our new virtual piano lessons, but we seem to have got there! Well done to everybody who has really kept up the practice and who have sent in their theory homework!! So impressed!!

I have a little Easter Holidays Challenge for you!

🎶 Write a song and compose the music!🎶

🌈 1. Write the lyrics. (This can be a poem if you like)

🌈 2. Get to your piano and get creative! There is no right or wrong here!

🌈 3. Write down the letters of the notes you have used above the words of your song.

🌈 4. Figure out your rhythms, and pop those next to your notes. Remember to clap a steady beat whilst you sing your song to check those note lengths!

🌈 5. What’s the time signature? How many beats are there in your bars? Put in the bar lines.

🌈 6. Write out the music onto your stave (remember to put your clefs and time signatures at the start!)

🌈 7. Play and sing your masterpiece!

Have fun being creative with your piano!!

And at the end, you’ll be an official composer! 😉
