Smalley Drum School, Derbyshire Smalley Drum School was founded by Dave Williams, a highly experienced professional drummer who has been teaching and performing for over 25 years.

Inviting students to learn in a relaxed, comfortable and modern environment, our custom-built studio has all the best facilities to aid learning. Improve your abilities on a state-of-the-art kit, use mirrors to perfect your technique, and soak up the inspiration provided by the beautiful views of open countryside. Whether taking up drums for the first time or as a more advanced drummer looking to improve, Dave Williams offers a method of teaching second to none. Providing clear instruction and demonstration combined with fun and inspiring exercises, Dave motivates and advances his students at an impressive rate. Dave's lessons are effective and enjoyable for aspiring rockstars from 8 to 80! Travelling all over the world backing a long list of amazing artists, Dave has performed for audiences from 20 to 20,000 at festivals, arenas and theatres. His extensive knowledge of styles stretches from rock, pop and soul to Latin, jazz and World Music, and his recording work includes sessions for industry leaders Sony Music. Dave is, of course, enhanced CRB checked.
