Meet Megan, the latest graduate from the Erewash Sound Academy.

Megan, completed our Radio Presenter Skills Course, then her studio tech training and can now be heard as part of the We Are Young team, Friday evenings from 7pm.

Our next Radio Presenter Skills Course starts Mon 4th March 6:30pm.

We had a fantastic time this week at Brackenfield School in Long Eaton. The pupils (and teachers!) enjoyed a Studio in a Box session where they discovered the delights of the mixing desk,had fun creating their own radio stations and interviewed each other like true pros!

Today they came over to the media centre for a look around how a real radio station works - it was pleasure to welcome them!

We also had the lovely Olivia on work experience with us recently and she got the chance to interview PO Andrew Maltby from the Long Eaton Sea Cadets all about water safety by the Erewash Canal.

We had a fantastic time last week with Ivan and Gabe who were here with us on work experience. They learnt how to create press releases, audio edit interviews, write and read the news and weather and sit in on live shows!
We even managed to brave the rain to interview Community Safety Manager Elisha from Network Rail about rail safety.
