Sensory spaces come in all shapes and sizes, which is why we design every project around the space you have available. From awkward corners to architectural features, every inch can be considered to create a space that feels like it was made for you.

Our recent project at Thornhill Primary School is a great example of how you can make the most of a space, even when there are limitations to work around. The result is a bespoke multi-sensory area designed to support different needs, abilities and goals... all within the space available 👏💙🌈

Sensory needs are an increasingly important consideration in healthcare settings. The environment can shape how comfortable, supported and at ease people feel in a hospital, particularly people with learning disabilities, sensory processing differences or other additional needs⚕️🏥

Working with an architectural firm, we created this soft-padded calming space for a hospital in Bath, with comfort, safety and protection in mind. A simple, thoughtful design that can make a big difference for hospital patients and visitors 👏

And here’s room number two! 💙

The second half of this dual sensory project was a brand-new multi-sensory room, designed to give the school a completely different space to explore.

Packed with sensory equipment, interactive features and plenty of colour, there’s lots to explore and engage with whilst still keeping a lovely, calming atmosphere for students.

From active play and movement to a more immersive sensory environment, the two rooms together give the school lots of different sources of sensory input. And what a fantastic result 👏✨

Another dual sensory installation ticked off the books! 👏✅

We recently worked with this specialist school to create a brand-new soft play room, and we love how this one came together.

With a fun mix of blues, pinks and greens, the space is full of opportunities for movement, exploration and sensory play. We incorporated soft play equipment such as our roller tube, trampette, mangle and a selection of movement chairs, as well as tactile play wall panels to add even more opportunities for interaction.

A safe environment designed to encourage the children to move, explore and play 🌈

And this is just the first room… 👀 There’s another half of this dual sensory project to share soon!

An interactive sensory corner installed for Winchelsea Primary School in Lincolnshire. 🌿✨

We’ve worked with Winchelsea Primary before, creating both a fully immersive sensory room and sensory garden, so it was great to be back recently for another project!

This time, working alongside our partner Cabins For Schools, we helped create a new Sensory Corner inside their brand-new modular building 🏫

The cabin sits perfectly amongst the existing sensory garden, providing a calm and welcoming space for users to take a break, explore and enjoy some quieter sensory time.

The soft-padded area features an LED Interactive Borealis Tube with a wireless user-based switch, bringing a little cause-and-effect sensory fun to the space. We also included colour-changing mood lighting around the room to add to the atmosphere, while the open layout gives the school plenty of room to add their own resources and make the space their own.

We love seeing how the school’s sensory provision has grown over the years and it was lovely to be involved again! 💙

Room 2/2 of our installation at a Primary School in Northamptonshire… 👀✨

Located just to the side of the multi-sensory hub and separated by a partition wall, this space was designed as a dedicated soft play room, giving students plenty of room for play, exploration and physical development.

We filled the space with a selection of our popular soft play features, including steps, a podium and slide, den, squeeze seat, interactive ball pool, trampette and mangle - creating lots of opportunities to move, climb, explore and interact. 👏🌈💙

Together, the two rooms give the school two very different but complementary spaces to enjoy, with the sensory hub offering a more immersive sensory experience and the soft play room providing plenty of opportunities for active play and physical exploration.

From garage conversion to calming sensory room... 🏚️✅🔨

We recently worked with a family in West Yorkshire to turn a newly converted garage into a calming space for their son. The aim? To create a relaxing area he could access at home whenever he needed somewhere to unwind, reset and self-regulate. 💙

The design included floor-to-ceiling padding around the room, with additional padding used to safely cover features such as radiators and windowsills.

We also added colour-changing LED mood lighting throughout the room, helping to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere that can be changed to suit his needs.

With plenty of open floor space, the family can now add their own furniture, furnishings and sensory resources to make the room their own! And there's lots of flexibility to introduce new calming features as they go.

A simple, adaptable space designed around the individual and built to grow with them.

We may be in the ‘ber months now, but we still have plenty of summer installation projects to share! ☀️

One of them is this fantastic multi-sensory hub we created for a Primary School in Northamptonshire.

With the school closed for the summer term, our engineers were able to access the site and transform a freshly constructed empty shell into a brand-new sensory hub ready for students to enjoy.

The large space is packed with a fun, engaging and interactive selection of sensory features, including our LED Infinity Panel, LED Borealis Tube, media projector and fibre optic corner, creating a versatile space catering to varied sensory needs.

And the best part? We created a second sensory space for the school, too! 👀

Stay tuned for the reveal of Room 2…

2 of 2 sensory spaces we created for Hargrave Park School in London! 💙

Following on from our last post, here’s a look at the second space we created: a SEND classroom within the school’s SEN provision.

Alongside the classroom area, we created a dedicated interactive sensory corner 🤩 With a combination of interactive visual and tactile features, alongside calming sensory elements, pupils can actively engage with the equipment, discover cause-and-effect interactions and explore different sensory inputs at their own pace.

The corner also provides a dedicated space to pause, regulate and take a sensory break when needed, all within the classroom environment.

A great example of how sensory equipment can be thoughtfully integrated into a SEND classroom to support engagement, exploration, learning and self-regulation throughout the school day 🌈

Check out the first of 2 sensory areas we created for Hargrave Park School in London! 🏫

Located within the main school building, this soft play sensory room brings together a fantastic selection of sensory and soft play equipment, creating a space for exploration, movement, play and development.

From tactile activities and interactive visuals to opportunities for physical movement, the space offers a variety of ways for pupils to engage with their surroundings and explore at their own pace.

As well as providing a valuable space for sensory breaks, relaxation and time away from the classroom, the room can also be used as a fantastic resource to support engagement, learning and development 🌈

Keep an eye out for our next post to see room 2 👀
