✨Congratulations to Mrs Law who has written an inspiring children's book✨

📖 Mrs Law has written 'How to Succeed' in memory of her dad Denis Hannon, a fellow teacher who worked at Saint John Houghton in various roles, including Deputy Headteacher, for 40 years. What a lovely tribute to Mr Hannon 😊

Our pupils will love this book, well done Mrs Law 👏❤

After an emotional last mass in school, Class 6 are enjoying an afternoon of bowling and pizza!

Thank you to our partner secondary school, John Houghton Catholic Voluntary Academy, for organising a fantastic taster day for our Year 5 pupils 😊

The children baked cookies, learnt about bunsen burners in Science, rhythm in Music and also took part in an English lesson and some singing with SJH chaplain Mrs Rose 🙌

Everyone had a wonderful day👍

Thank you to our staff who accompanied pupils and to staff at SJH for giving us such a warm (literally - it was a very hot day!) welcome ❤️

It was great to welcome back former staff, parents and children for today’s mass. Here’s former staff Mr Geraghty, Mrs Law and Mrs Smith sharing their fond memories of Mr Jones.

We celebrated mass in school today and remembered former headteacher Mr Jones. With money raised we have purchased a cup and medals that will be given to Class 6 each year and, because Mr Jones loved boats, we have purchased a Reading Boat for the children to use to read in. We have also given a book of lovely memories to David’s wife who lives in Holyhead.
