At the London Fruit and Wool Exchange, weβre processing food waste from Ashurst and turning into compost, which weβre then using to grow microgreens (all on site). Weβre also growing oyster mushrooms πβπ«
On Earth day, the Ashurst catering team prepared dishes for staff using our produce, to celebrate the circularity of our collaboration, through delicious, locally-sourced food!

Delighted to announce that we have won a Silver Green Apple Award for our partnership with at London Fruit & Wool Exchange.
Together, we are processing food waste from the site into a compost and liquid fertiliser which we will use to grow food produce for the kitchens on site. Circularity on a hyperlocal scale.
On to the World Awards in 2026.

Woodchip delivery for our hot composting operations at the London Fruit & Wool Exchange!
Takes about twice as long to get anywhere on this bike with woodchip in the trailer but it combines good exercise with emissions free transport and recycles the woodchip into our compost πͺ΅πͺπβπ«π±

Hoping to catch some passing clouds with our first trial for rain water collection at the LFWE site.
Working in a very unique urban setting means lots of opportunities for innovation and iteration. Hopefully this leak diverter connected to a water butt, will enable us to start collecting enough rainwater to keep our compost piles moist and to support our initial growing trials.
