Time to show you what we've been up to!

We celebrated autumn equinox and reflected on what makes us happy and grateful 💚 Were very grateful for the trees so we looked at their leaves and seeds, and talked about seed gathering season - great time to go collecting!!

We had more fun with conkers, making all sorts of creations, including making soap - the options are endless!

What will we be doing in the upcoming weeks? Why not join us Tuesday afternoon for home ed/Flexi school drop off (4-14 years), Wednesday or Friday mornings for stay and play fun. Limited spaces remaining 🍁🍄🍂

🎵Conkers, I'm collecting conkers 🎶 I'm trying hard to find the biggest and the best! 🎵

Conker craze continues - we made conker comets, conker spiders 🕷️ (and 🕸️!) and lots of other creations. Ooh and we planted conkers so we can grow Horse Chestnut trees at home too 🌱

🍏 We also had yummy cinnamon apples from Abbey Farm, thank you Farmer Lewis! 🍎

Looking forward to celebrating Autumn Equinox/Mabon with you all this week, starting with our home ed/Flexi school session tomorrow, Tuesday at 12:30-14:30 and 💚

What a great first week back at Icklewoods! Starting with a wonderfully wet home ed session with Katie where we splashed, did blackberry tie dye and lots of swinging 🫟

We all welcomed Autumn with all the usuals (exploring, discovering, digging etc!) as well as some conker fun, making lots of different creations 🍂

I then finished off with a really fun day at the amazing - thank you so much for having me! It was incredible meeting lots of friendly new faces, hope to welcome you to Icklewoods Forest School soon 💚🪵🌳

Before we start back in ONE WEEK, I just wanted to say a very big thank you to all those families who have come to Icklewoods Forest School over the last year and a special thank you for my presents - I am so incredibly grateful!! 🥰

To those families who are starting their next adventure (I won't say the S word!) - best of luck! 📖✏️ Will miss you lots!

🍂🌿 Not long until we’re back at Icklewoods Forest School for Autumn! 🌿🍂

Looking forward to welcoming you all, starting with our Home Ed/Flexi School sessions on Tuesday 8th September (12:30-14:30) with the wonderful Katie

I’ll also be running the weekly Ickle Ones Stay & Play sessions on Wednesday and Friday mornings (9:45-11:45), and the Family Fun sessions will be back from Saturday 19th September 🌿

🍁 Book the full term for regular time in the woods – building confidence, developing relationships with the natural world and each other, and having the time to explore, play and discover as the seasons change.

🌿 Or book PAYG if you’re looking for a little more flexibility to come along when you can.

Can’t wait to be back in the woods to see where our curiosity takes us 🍄

YIKES! The summer is speeding by and we've been having lots of fun at Icklewoods - one of the best places to be in the heat! Thank you all for coming 💚

Taking a little break before we're back in September, starting with our Wild Ones Home ed/Flexi school sessions on Tuesday 8th at 12:30-14:30 with Katie from ☀️
Followed by our Icklewoods Ones sessions on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 9:45-11:45

We have been BUSY BUSY BUSY!! 🐝

We have kept cool in the best place under the trees! We have made ice cream, played with ice and water (lots!), painted with frozen berries, celebrated mud day, created a barefoot walk, looked at bugs (always!), made flower crowns, sun prints with some being used for father's day and planted sunflowers as well as the usual digging, climbing, balancing and making music - told you we've been busy over the last 6 weeks!! 😂

However, we have actually been taking it all SLOW (don't let the music fool you!) - very important this time of year when there's so much else going on!

Beautiful few weeks at Icklewoods Forest School, with lots of different friends visiting!

We've celebrated world bee 🐝 day, be nice to nettles week (with yummy nettle crisps 😋) and talked about all the different things we can do with Elder and their flowers (after asking and thanking!) including stickmen, jewellery, cordial and delicious elderflower fritters 🤤

Such a lovely way to get outside and connect with nature - the more we look, the more we see, the more we discover, the more we learn, the more we care 💚

It's been very busy with most sessions being fully booked (thank you!!) so please make sure you book ahead where you can - link in bio.

Look forward to being back with you all next week Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Hope you're having a fun half term! ☀️
