✨ We Include All ✨

At Badgers Bridge, “including all” isn’t something we say, it’s something you feel the moment you walk through our doors.

Every child who joins us brings their own story and their own way of seeing the world and we celebrate that. There is no “one way” to be here. Whether a child is loud or quiet, confident or finding their feet, full of energy or needing a little extra reassurance, they belong.

We take the time to truly know our children. Not just what they can do, but how they feel, what excites them, what comforts them, and what helps them thrive. Some children need adventure and wide open spaces and they find that in our Outward Bound days, our forest school, and our community walks. Others need calm, closeness and a gentle rhythm and they find that in our cosy spaces, nurturing arms and slower moments.

Inclusion also means supporting families. Listening, adapting, working together. Whether that’s through flexible settling-in, working alongside other professionals, or simply being there for a reassuring chat at the end of the day, we are in it together.

Our environments are carefully created so every child can access, explore and succeed. Open-ended resources, natural materials, and child-led learning mean children can engage in ways that feel right for them.

We are lucky to have a team who care deeply. Who notice the small things. Who celebrate every step forward, no matter how big or small. Who make sure every child feels safe, valued and important.

Because at Badgers Bridge, inclusion isn’t an add-on.

Here is our church garden! 🌿

Our Outward Bound sessions here are a key part of our curriculum.

Children are developing real-life skills through hands-on experiences, planting, digging, caring for living things, and working together within our local community. We see rich language, sustained shared thinking, and a deep sense of responsibility as children take pride in what they grow.

This is meaningful learning in action, building confidence, resilience and curiosity in a way that stays with them 🌱

At Badgers Bridge, it’s never just about childcare… it’s about how children feel when they’re with us 🤍

We create calm, home from home environments where children feel safe, secure and truly understood. Our days are shaped around their interests, whether that’s building, exploring, creating or heading out on an adventure.

Outdoor learning is a big part of who we are. From local walks to Forest School, children have the space to explore, take risks and build confidence in the world around them 🌿

We focus on strong relationships, gentle guidance and supporting children to understand their emotions through our RISE approach. Every child is seen, valued and supported to grow in their own way.

It’s a place where children can just be children… and thrive ✨

🚨 An Open Letter to the Department for Education 🚨

We’ve said it before, and we’ll keep saying it louder:

The early years sector is at breaking point.

While government announcements celebrate expansion and new school-based nurseries, promising more places and lower costs for families … the reality on the ground tells a very different story.

Providers are closing.
Staff are leaving.
Settings that have served communities for decades are disappearing.

This isn’t about resisting change — it’s about asking:
👉 At what cost?
👉 And who is being left behind?

This open letter calls for honesty, sustainability, and real support for the sector that has been quietly holding up early education for generations.

Because without proper funding and respect for existing providers, we risk losing far more than we gain.

🌱 Community, connection and growing together 🌱

At Badgers Bridge, our Outward Bound group is all about helping children feel part of the world around them and we are so proud to be strengthening our links within our local community.

We are delighted to now have a dedicated growing area at the church, where the children can plant, nurture and care for flowers, herbs and vegetables. This hands-on experience helps them understand where food comes from, develop responsibility and build a real sense of pride in their achievements.

We are also very excited to be working alongside the local Community Garden. This gives our children even more opportunities to explore nature, learn new practical skills and spend meaningful time outdoors with members of the community.

These experiences support confidence, wellbeing and curiosity and most importantly, they help children feel that they truly belong.

We can’t wait to share photos and updates as our growing project develops 🌼

Every time I walk into one of the nursery settings, I’m blown away by the happy children!

The laughter. The hugs. The curiosity. The calm. The joy. The relationships. The mess. The community. The learning. New experiences. And most of all, every child is included.

Yes, we might misplace a welly or send a child home in different clothes after an enthusiastic puddle jump, a day playing in the outdoor environment, getting messy with play… but that means they’ve had a brilliant day.

They’re too busy being curious and exploring to worry about what they are wearing!

Our staff truly know your children. They truly care. We choose presence over paperwork and relationships over clipboards,

Forest School and outdoor learning are inclusive because there is no single way to take part. Children can move, observe, explore, create, or simply be, all of which are equally valued. This flexibility means every child can engage in a way that suits their individual needs, abilities, and pace.

The outdoor environment naturally reduces barriers. Open spaces support children who need movement, while calm, sensory-rich areas help children who need regulation or quiet. Learning is hands-on and child-led, allowing children to show what they know without pressure or comparison.

Forest School celebrates difference, builds confidence, and creates a sense of belonging, ensuring every child feels seen, capable, and included. 🌱
