Messy play in Waddlers 🧡

Our Waddlers have been enjoying a wonderfully messy sensory experience, exploring food through touch, texture, colour and smell. Scooping, squishing, spreading and investigating all help to build fine motor skills, coordination and confidence while encouraging curiosity and independent play.

Plenty of mess, plenty of learning.

Busy week in Preschool 💛

It’s been another lovely, busy week in Preschool, with lots of opportunities to create, explore, practise new skills and enjoy time together.

The children have been busy threading and making colourful creations, getting stuck into arts and crafts, developing their early writing and phonics skills, and heading outdoors to explore and play with their friends! 🥰

🐞 Babies Bug Hunt 🐛

Our babies have been busy digging, searching and exploring in our sensory bug hunt.

Using their hands and brushes, the children investigated the different textures, searched for hidden bugs and enjoyed making marks in the tray. A lovely open-ended activity supporting curiosity, fine motor skills, sensory exploration and early language. 🐛 🐜 🐞

🧁 Our Little Bakers

Our babies have been busy baking! 🤍

From exploring the ingredients to stirring, scooping and filling their cake cases, our youngest children loved getting hands-on and involved.

Baking offers so many lovely early learning opportunities, supporting sensory exploration, fine motor development, early communication and growing independence.

Lots of concentration, curious little hands and, of course, something yummy at the end! 🧁✨

🌿 Preschool Nature Explorers! 🔎🍃

Our Preschool children headed out on a nature walk, using their spotter sheets to discover different colours, leaves, plants and other treasures along the way. 🌼🌳

A lovely opportunity to explore our local environment, build vocabulary and observation skills, and enjoy learning outdoors! 💚

🌈 Sensory play in Toddlers 🌈

Our Toddlers have been getting wonderfully hands-on with lots of sensory experiences! 🖐️✨

From scooping, pouring and mixing to exploring foam, feathers, dough, colours and textures, the children have been busy investigating materials in their own way.

Sensory play provides so many opportunities for learning, supporting fine motor development, coordination, creativity, curiosity and early problem-solving, while also encouraging the children to play alongside one another, share resources and develop their own ideas. 💛

Lots of exploring, lots of learning and, of course, lots of mess! 🌈🫧

With the Gee Cross Festival taking place this weekend, we’ll be opening our nursery car park to provide some additional parking for visitors.

Please note:
🚗 Cars may be left overnight on Saturday if you’re enjoying the evening festivities.
🚗 All vehicles must be collected by 5:00pm on Sunday, after which the car park will be closed and locked ready for business as usual on Monday morning.

As this is a nursery, we kindly ask everyone to respect our grounds by taking all litter home with you, avoiding glass where possible, and helping us keep the site safe and clean for the children who return on Monday.

Parking is at the owner’s risk.
