How to have a mini spiritual retreat

Nine steps to taking time out with God.

Start with worship: Psalm or a song.
Try some breath prayers.
Pray through some scripture.
Write down all that you're involved in.
Identify what motivates and energises you.
Draw pictures of things that give you joy.
Write or draw areas of your life that bring worry.
Pray for your activities, asking God for direction.
End with worship: Psalm or a song.

"Since the body was not spiritual, the thinking went, the body should be considered evil and wholly denied, even punished if it feels something wrong. So, the super-religious were sceptical of anything the body was telling them. Ignore the body and focus solely on God. Yet the body is one of the main ways we notice and engage our emotions. Our physical bodies are designed by God and are gifts from Him to care for and notice and steward here."

Earlier this week, three members of our team had the opportunity to attend 'Attachment Seeking not Attention Seeking' training delivered by Join the Dots Solutions

The session provided valuable insight into attachment-seeking behaviours, helping us to deepen our understanding of the experiences and needs of the people we support.
A huge thank you to the team at Join the Dots for sharing their knowledge and expertise.

We would also like to extend our thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund for providing funding that made this training opportunity possible. Investment in learning and development is invaluable, and we are grateful for the support that enables our team to continue building knowledge and skills that benefit the communities we serve.
