⚓📚 Ahoy there! We had a wonderfully riotous and swashbuckling morning with author and actress Emma Swan Emma Swan , creator of the Cruise Ship Kid series.

The children were captivated as Emma shared her fascinating journey (quite literally!) to becoming a writer, performer and adventurer.

From life at sea to bringing unforgettable characters to life, Emma inspired us all to follow our dreams and embrace our imaginations. And when asked, "Would you rather be a dolphin or a shark?" there was only ever going to be one answer at Dolphin... a dolphin, of course! 🐬💙

🌿⛰️ A day of discovery, adventure and hands-on learning! 🌊🦌

Our pupils explored the beautiful New Forest, learning how people and nature coexist in this unique landscape while spotting local wildlife and uncovering the area's rich history. They then became young geographers at Lulworth Cove, investigating coastal erosion, fascinating rock formations and the natural processes that have shaped this stunning coastline over thousands of years.

What a few days in the Alps! 🏔️

Our Year 8 adventurers challenged themselves on the Via Ferrata, enjoyed an unforgettable walk along the breathtaking Crête de Vars, and were rewarded with spectacular mountain views at every turn. To top it all off, they cooled off with a refreshing lake dip, making the most of the beautiful Alpine surroundings.

A fantastic few days of adventure, resilience, and memories that will last a lifetime. 🇫🇷☀️💙

📚💤 Are you sitting comfortably?

We enjoyed a cosy, yet literary, Pyjamarama at Dolphin today – celebrating our love of books by inviting parents in to share their favourite stories. Thank you to everyone who gave up a slot in their busy day to show that there is always time for reading! ❤️📖

We are incredibly proud that Dolphin’s Enrichment Project has been selected for the National Gallery’s Take One Picture exhibition this summer!

Inspired by Canaletto’s A Regatta on the Grand Canal, our pupils created a stunning 3D interpretation featuring origami gondolas, Venetian houses, marbled waterways and handmade Venetian masks.

To have their work displayed alongside masterpieces by some of history’s greatest artists is a truly special achievement. Congratulations to everyone involved!

The exhibition is open at the National Gallery, London, until 31 August – well worth a visit if you're in the area.

What an adventure! 🥾🌿

Last week, our Year 6 pupils enjoyed an unforgettable walking trip in the Lake District, taking on a range of exciting outdoor challenges. From testing their navigation skills with orienteering, exploring the stunning landscapes around Red Tarn and Aria Force waterfall, conquering Cat Bells, tackling Ghyll scrambling, and finishing with a treasure hunt around Keswick, every day brought new experiences and opportunities to build confidence, resilience, and teamwork.

A fantastic week full of adventure, achievement, and memories that will last a lifetime!

We are all really proud of James, our Sports Graduate & PE Teacher, who last week represented Great Britain at the 2026 Bench Press World Championships in Warsaw Poland.

Becoming an international athlete has been a lifelong ambition of his, and one that began when he was just six years old, and to see that dream become a reality is truly special for him, his family and for the school.

This morning James ran an assembly to the whole school outlining his experience as a GB Athlete and what it means to DREAM BIG!
