Good morning, a quick message to inform you that the stables will be closed on Thursday 11th June for Emy’s mum, Dreda Randall’s funeral.

If you would usually ride on a Thursday, please let us know if there alternative days and times that week that you could ride and we will do our best to accommodate.

Good evening, it is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the passing of Emy’s mum, Dreda Randall on Thursday 7th May after a short illness. Dreda was the founder of Monach Farm and is the reason that Monach Farm Riding Stables is here today.

Her legacy not only lies within our teaching approach and ethos, but is represented in the land and everything you see at Monach Farm, from building stables, roofing and fencing to managing the land that houses all of our animals. Throughout her life and even at 82 she was still a very active and involved member of our team, imparting her wisdom and extensive equine and livestock knowledge to all around her. Her presence and quick wit will be sorely missed and as such we ask for your patience and understanding at this incredibly difficult time.

The first picture was the state that our hat and boot room was left in at the beginning of the week. The second was taken after a day and a half of cleaning, tidying and sorting 🥵 Please make sure you return anything you borrow to the correct shelf and treat our stables with respect. Thank you!

Good morning!☀️ Just a quick notice from us, please read carefully.

With Spring/Summer on our doorstep we have had a HUGE influx of new rider enquiries. As it stands we have over 30 clients on our waiting list for lesson cancellations this weekend alone, and at present we are running at the maximum capacity that we can safely deliver for our horses/staff welfare and to ensure you, the rider, has the adequate support needed for your lesson.

With this in mind, we would like to remind you that the cut off point for lesson requests is 12noon on the Sunday before the week that you wish to ride. Any requests made after this point will automatically be added to our waiting list as a late request, these requests for spaces will only be fulfilled if there is a suitable cancellation space available.

We thank you for your patience and consideration as we deal with an incredibly busy time ahead and look forward to seeing you soon.

Monach is taking another big step forward for renewable energy.
In addition to the solar panels already installed on our barn roofs and battery.

We will be installing kinetic mats underneath the surface of the riding arena which will harness the energy expended by our ponies and their helpers and turn it into electricity ⚡️ With each leader walking an average of 2,000 steps a day in the arena, plus the horse power in our horse power, we aim to be completely self-sufficient by the end of the year.

Please note the stables will be closed on Sunday 5th April (Easter Sunday), however we will have some limited lesson availability on Friday the 3rd April (Good Friday) and Saturday 4th April.

Our diaries are also now open for the month of April so if you’re feeling super organised you can submit your lesson requests for the next 4 weeks, please be aware that there is limited lesson availability in the Easter holidays and your usual term time lesson spaces may not be available 🐴
