Final Year 11 Masterclass complete for this academic year. ❤️
And just like that, it’s goodbye to the last of my Year 11s before they head into their final Physics exam and then on to a well-deserved extra-long summer break 🙌
It’s always an emotional time because I genuinely care about every single one of them. Over the past few weeks, I’ve put everything I have into helping them prepare, build their confidence, and calm those last-minute nerves.
To every one of my Year 11s: good luck in your final Physics exam. Trust yourselves, trust the work you’ve put in, and remember that you’re capable of far more than you sometimes realise. Then go and enjoy every second of your summer as you’ve absolutely earned it.
Thank you as well for all of your kind words. I don’t think you realise quite how much they mean to me. The messages, cards and comments coming directly from the individuals I've supported are things I’ll always treasure, and they remind me exactly why I do what I do.
I’m so proud of every single one of you. Now go and smash that final exam. 💙📚

🔎SESSION INSIGHT
One of the biggest game changers in GCSE Science isn't just knowing the content, but it's also understanding what the examiner is actually looking for. Being an examiner, this is something I automatically embed into sessions.
That's why I spend time with my students using examiner reports, examiner insights and mark schemes. They reveal how questions should be interpreted, the key terminology that earns marks, and the specific phrases examiners expect to see.
It's amazing how often students know the science but lose marks because they've gone down the waffle route or haven't used the precise language needed. By seeing exactly how answers are marked, they learn to be concise, accurate and focused on what scores highly.
Success in exams isn't just about what you know, it's also about communicating that knowledge in the way the mark scheme rewards marks.

Pixie 🐈⬛️ has been undertaking the tough job role of sleeping next to me in her cosy bed during this super busy week!
Exam season and exam marking prep has led to some early starts and very late nights for me over the last few weeks, but my side kick has been keeping me company throughout 🐈⬛️.
I put everything into supporting my lovely students and it is so rewarding when this is recognised by the students themselves 🫶.
