Our Daisies enjoyed a lovely nature walk today 🌿🍂

They collected sticks and leaves before exploring them in a water-filled tuff tray. As they washed, moved and investigated their natural treasures, the children developed their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Our practitioners introduced new words and used rich, descriptive language to encourage curiosity, conversation and a deeper understanding of the natural world. A simple activity filled with awe, wonder and learning ✨

When imagination becomes reality…

One of our little learners had an idea — he wanted to build his own car. Using the open-ended resources available within our setting, he carefully selected what he needed and brought his idea to life.

There were no instructions and no “right” way to do it — just imagination, problem-solving, creativity and determination.

These are the moments we love to see at Little Munchkins. Giving children the freedom, time and resources to follow their own ideas creates those wonderful moments of awe and wonder ✨
