A brilliant first session focusing on effective communication. We’re really looking forward to seeing this group develop, take on new challenges and get involved in plenty of leadership opportunities throughout the year! 💪

🏐 Year 5/6 Grace Schools Bee Netball Tournament 🏐

We were privileged to organise and deliver the very first Year 5/6 Grace Schools Bee Netball Tournament on Friday 3rd July.

A fantastic 10 schools and 70 children came together at St Ivo Academy to compete for the chance to become the inaugural Grace Schools Bee Netball Champions.

The tournament showcased everything school sport is about:
💪 Great play
🔥 Healthy competition
🤝 Fantastic sportsmanship

After an exciting day of netball, William de Yaxley edged past Ermine Street in a brilliant final, watched and cheered on by all of the other schools in attendance. Congratulations to both teams on a fantastic match!

A huge thank you also goes to our incredible Year 9 and Year 10 Sports Leaders from Hinchingbrooke School, who officiated matches, supported teams and ensured the event ran smoothly throughout the day. Your enthusiasm and professionalism made a real difference.

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this inaugural event such a success. We can’t wait to welcome you all back for an even bigger and better tournament next year!

A huge thank you to our fantastic Sports Leaders who supported yesterday’s Year 5/6 Flag Football Festivals! 🏈

It was brilliant to welcome leaders from Hinchingbrooke School St Ivo Academy and St Peter's School Huntingdon, who played a key role in making the day such a success.

The leaders started the festival by taking on coaching responsibilities, delivering fun and engaging activities that introduced the children to the fundamental skills of Flag Football. They then put their own skills on display by demonstrating a Flag Football match, with pupils watching, learning and cheering them on! 👏

In the afternoon, our Sports Leaders stepped into the role of referees for the learning matches. They focused on rewarding positive play, helping children apply the skills they had developed throughout the carousel of activities, while also coaching teams through the flow of a game.

Thank you to all of our Sports Leaders for your enthusiasm, leadership and support, you were outstanding role models throughout the day! 🌟
