Creative Crew - Art workshops

We had a great time at afterschool club last week, both KS1 & KS2 created pixel (aka Minecraft) art! We practised colour matching and shading techniques - the results are fantastic! Well done little artists!

Arts Award

In September we take on a new cohort of students for the Bronze and Silver Arts Awards which we offer for young people ages 11-25. In short, the Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification run through Trinity College London and is similar to the Duke of Edinburgh Award — but with a creative focus. The programme is designed to prepare young people for further education and employment, the award is recognised by many colleges and can provide a really positive route into further education within the arts.

One of the things I really like about it is that it’s entirely portfolio and evidence based, so there are no exams involved. The qualification encourages young people to develop creative skills, independent learning, leadership, communication and planning skills, whilst working around their own artistic interests and strengths.

Creative weekly art workshops for Home Educated young people aged 11–16 years in our inspiring Garden Studio in Godmanchester 🌿

These sessions are designed to encourage creativity, self-expression and confidence through a range of exciting art techniques in a welcoming, relaxed environment. This term is project based, building on knowledge and skills as we go and ending with a final piece, we’ll be exploring printmaking, drawing inks, collage and more.
