After a stressful few months (the agency I’m registered with are closing and I’ve had to rush apply to become Ofsted registered), today I’ve had my pre registration visit and after 4hrs of questions….

I’ve been recommended for registration! Woo hoo! 🙌🏻❤️

They know they have to share their mummy.

They know they have to share their home.

But most of all they know their mummy loves them so much, and is immensely proud of them.

I’m always grateful and proud for how amazing my girls are, particularly during half terms and holidays. 💕

I have been quite frankly rubbish at keeping up to date with my page 🙈 I can only apologise…life keeps getting in the way!

We pass a post box every day on our school run journey and it’s always a talking point. The colour of it, it’s purpose, who visits it and why, a place to stop by…etc. Over the last week, the children have also been interested in our funnybones visitor so we decided to read the Funnybones story again and have a go at making our own skeleton picture.

The children chose whether they wanted to make a human skeleton or an animal or even a dinosaur skeleton! We used such a range of skills. Fine motor skills to use scissors to cut the cotton buds, hand-eye coordination to get the glue from the pot to the paper and the children made plenty of creative decisions about how they wanted their picture to look. We used white pens to draw the skulls for our skeletons and worked on our pincer fingers to stick on stars as our skeletons were going out at nighttime. We had to work on taking it turns to use the various resources and we communicated what we were doing and how we were doing it…so much fantastic vocabulary!

We then thought about who in their home they wanted to send the picture to and we wrote out the envelope. We talked about what we were writing on it and why and the children enjoyed decorating them.

Finally we went to the shop and the children did a wonderful job of asking the man in the post office for “three stamps please” which we had great fun sticking on the letters and posting in the post box. I just know they’ll be so excited when their “post” comes through their letterbox at home in the next few days ❤️

Autumn has arrived 🐿️🍂🍁

The conversations we have had, the questions we’ve had, watching the squirrels, helping to maintain the animal home has been amazing this week.

We have been absolutely loving the sunshine! Dens (sorry bear caves! 😜) and adventure nature hunts have been a favourite just lately 🩷🩷

Today we enjoyed a Tiny Tots summer workshop…we had such fun!! The boys were amazing and did a fantastic job of joining in 💕

Children are magical and never predictable and it’s a privilege to be a part of their world 💕

This time of year is hard…saying goodbye to some of my little friends as they move onto their new adventures. But I’m very lucky that I’ll still get to see how they are getting on 💕

Today we made, what miraculously turned out to be, a delicious lemon cake to celebrate our time together 🩷

Thank you so so much to my families. Your support and kindness is appreciated. I’m very lucky that you trusted me to spend time with your most precious little people…they are the best fun 🥰

Today we’ve tackled the heat with sand, water and ice creams and have been very grateful for the shade now provided all day by the trees I planted so many years ago ☀️
