Children enjoyed learning about some animals that live in colder climates and exploring a ice tuff tray with some of these animals like polar bears, penguins, seals/walruses and different whales. Lots of new language/words used and talked bout how cold and slippery the ice was
We made some penguin sun catchers with children chosing favourite colours and then putting them on the nursery door to see how they look from the daylight shining through.
Made polar bears faces and learning about what makes them different to other bears.
And we talked about what we would do if we had snow and the favourite thing was make snowmen, so children either drew or used cut out circles to make snowmen. Using fine motor skills.
