Over the summer, bedtimes, mornings and mealtimes often drift — and that’s perfectly normal. In the last couple of weeks, begin nudging routines back into place so September feels smooth rather than sudden.
• Bring bedtime forward by 10–15 minutes every few days
• Reintroduce calm evening wind downs (reading, drawing, quiet play)
• Practise “school morning” timings once or twice a week

At Aim2Achieve, we know that keeping children reading over the summer doesn’t have to mean long books or tricky tasks. Little bursts of real life reading can make a HUGE difference — and they’re often the most fun!
Here are some friendly hints and tips to help your child keep those skills ticking over:
📖 Read in real life
• Follow a recipe together and let your child read the steps while you cook.
• Ask them to read sports articles in the newspaper — perfect for football mad learners!
• Let them read instructions for board games, LEGO sets or craft kits.
• Encourage them to read menus when you’re out and about.
• Get them to read shopping lists or help write one.

🌞Another new Learning Superstar has been busy with her phonics!
We’ve been practising letter formation, playing ‘sound jumps’ and exploring the alphabet. We’re so proud of her progress already!

🌟 One of our new Learning Superstars was so excited for her maths work!

Using UNO cards, she generated numbers, found the value of each digit and then compared and ordered them like a true mathamagician. 🔢✨
We used lollipop sticks to write each number on so she could physically order them — a brilliant hands‑on way to build understanding and confidence.
We love seeing children shine through fun, practical learning at Aim2Achieve. 💛
