March's Academic Society of the Month is...

UHAS (Architecture)

The Architecture committee have been very engaged with their society members and Students’ Union. During March they were the driving force behind the ADA Big Fat Quiz of the Year which involved all academic societies in ADA, this was a fantastic event, which was inclusive of everyone!
Their display of teamwork is very impressive in the various successful events they’ve had over the last academic year! This has meant for increased engagement from their members and growth in their society!

March's Society of the Month is...

Radio Hud

They have put in so much hard work over this academic year and are a shining example of an active, inclusive and caring committee.
They have related to their members information about Committee Elections, the SU Elections and the Get Involved Awards.
They reach out to new members and encourage fellow students to join their group and be a part of their family. They continue to support current and new members by offering training, advice, holding socials and asking for feedback. Their initiative to hold their own awards (Show of the Month) is a fantastic way to support and appreciate their members.
Their 24 hour radio broadcast for charity was amazing, RadioHud presents.. was a fantastic achievement, their consistent coverage of SU events, including the SU elections, is appreciated and helps promote all the great work that is done by students.
We understand that they are all in their final years at university but they are leaving an amazing legacy and their new committee have big boots to fill. We wish them all the best with their futures and hope that they are bright and filled with incredible opportunities.

All this and they broadcast as well!

March's Sports Club of the Month is...

Huddersfield Hornets Women's Rugby Union

Women’s Rugby have continuously and consistently pushed and driven their club to be the best it can be throughout the year. The committee have worked hard to get the best for the club and have worked around all situations to ensure training and games still go ahead where most would have just quit.

As just reward for all their hard work the team were crowned league champions in early March! Am amazing achievement of which they should be very proud!

February's Sports Club of the Month is...Volleyball!

Our Volleyball men's team have made it all the way through to their cup final! This is an amazing achievement as this is the first year our Volleyball team has competed in BUCS!

The final is played this coming Wednesday! Good luck!

February's Academic Society of the Month is...Midwifery!

Midwifery just put on event after event! This month saw them put on an event that supported students in LGBTQ+ Inclusion in midwifery, all the students who attend were very happy to receive this support!

Well done and keep up the hardwork!

February's Society of the Month is.... Christian Union!

This month the society put on a week long Charity event, which involved handing out hot drinks to students! The week also included guest speaker events!

An amazing amount of work went in to this - well done!
