It is continually passing away from you and returning to Him, so adorn it with God-consciousness and righteous deeds. Otherwise, when it has passed and others have benefited from their time, it may leave you with nothing but bitter regret.

So listen carefully to this advice and live by it.

Do not let the praise of others veil you from recognising the reality of your own self.

Managing your time well is the pinnacle of wisdom, so hold firmly to it.

Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“I will be the leader of the children of Adam on the Day of Judgement, and I say this without pride. In my hand will be the Banner of Praise, and I say this without pride. On that Day, there will be no Prophet, from Adam and all those who came after him, except that they will be under my banner. And I will be the first person for whom the earth will split open, and I will be the first to rise from the grave, and I say this without pride.”

Rabi‘ al-Awwal reminds us that the arrival of the Prophet of Mercy ﷺ brought the light of faith, justice, compassion, good character, and humanity to the world. Today, our responsibility is to reflect that same light through our character, our relationships, and our conduct in society.
